This idea combines two different game... archetypes? The story involves a tough and gruff space marine being teleported into a typical JRPG fantasy land. As the space marine you run around and shoot everything, basically a shooter. As the hero your battles are turn-based. Eventually it's up to the typical JRPG hero to stop this space marine from blowing everything into smithereens.

I'm more curious about how would you approach this

Interesting idea and certainly unique. How would you go about merging the two together though? Perhaps the best way is have the game switch characters every other chapter, or something like that.

I actually have no clue how I'd do it.
