Yep, it's official. In time for the end of the world, PSY's Gangnam Style has just hit 1 BILLION Youtube views. This is the first time a view has ever done this and it did it in 5 months. Amazing achievement:

Youtube even put a unique icon on the video count.

I think it was worth it! I'm glad PSY got it. He seems so modest and earnestly fun/happy.

I can't believe I haven't been recognized yet for watching it over a billion times... this is bull.

And the Mayans knew this would happen all along. :O

I have no idea what the song is about but its super catchy

Pretty nifty story. It's silly but fun. It's basically about a dude going "Big brother is classy". That's the Gangnam Style, an area in South Korea(in Seoul) that's a classy district. And how he wants a certain type of lady haha.

"People who are actually from Gangnam never proclaim that they are—it's only the posers and wannabes that put on these airs and say that they are "Gangnam Style"—so this song is actually poking fun at those kinds of people who are trying so hard to be something that they're not." -Psy

So basically, I guess it's kinda literally like LMFAO Korea-style. Cause ironic and stuff. But still a super fun video to watch. Some of the mashups are AMAZING.
