I have fixed the problem for now! I am using VAC again. VAC is "Virtual Audio Cable", and it emulates having your sound directed into you computer with a male audio jack in the recording one. It basically is stereo mix within itself. It makes no static. It's a little rough to set up, but I can adjust audio levels in the windows mixer on it, and fun stuff. And no static or squealing. Stereo mix sucks on this sound card.

Anyways, I will use that to record Sunday as a test. Along with everyone else. If it works out, you will never need audacity again. BIG STUFF. I will, but you won't.

There's our skeletal outline for tomorrow. Dray will be the 5th party member, possibly the Red Mage.

Apologies for the lack of episodes recently. The new recording style DID work however, so that means from that episode on, I can get the editing done in maybe like what? 2 hours? Total?

However, since I've been hanging out like every night, I haven't finished editing the last two old-format ones. So expect a huge update before the end of the week with two episodes. And then the most recent one as well. And then we'll be a-okay and on track.

That's such bullsh*t. If they're on the list and they've paid their dues (likely in prison), how's it fair that you're going to punish them even more by gaming away from them, too? Well, I guess I'll be saving the rest for the MagCast.

I actually disagree with being sympathetic towards the offenders, from both the cold business standpoint, and the personal one.

First off, they should've thought about something as trivial as online games before ruining live(s). They are actual convicted offenders. And no, the solution should not be BS victim blaming of "KIDS SHOULD KNOW NOT TO GIVE INFORMATION OUT!" It's not like if the person is a sex offender, that question suddenly appears in a red font. There's also power manipulation of expecting a 12-14 year old boy/girl to be as sensible as someone older, and wise enough to always evade. They may even get blackmailed. Also, all that BS in the comments about OH NO PUBLIC URINATION- there are different levels of sex offenders. And if they nailed every public urination case, that list would be a tad bit more lengthy.

Two, from the cold business standpoint- they are covering their asses. I'm sure they care about the kids(Blizz and NCSoft especially, they are very, very good to their communities); however... you gotta think. Letting that occur on their game is creating huge liability, and they are dodging so many litigation fees from possible cases... as in, so many that they couldn't keep up. Blizzard just got out of trouble with investors with some poor showings this past financial year. NCSoft is so much smaller they could be made or broken by this sort of thing. THQ? Do I even need to say it? With how many people will sue the game company AND the offender, I don't get how this is surprising.

I thought about this, and as someone thinking for the best with the podcast and stuff like that- we are a video game podcast. I personally do not want to be involved with handling this issue on it. All it will do, is possibly trigger victims, or anger others. It's just not a good idea to play with fire on something just BARELY pertinent to video games. I also do not want to hamfist a topic about violence and video games in light of the recent tragedy, either. I just think it hits nerves unnecessarily, and it's going to basically end in bad feelings all-around. Politics are just something better left to NOT be on this. If people want to start a different podcast, by all means. But this is supposed to just supposed to be about video games as a main focus, not a side one with a heavy political leaning underneath. Point blank, I won't take time out of my life to edit/post something that is a SERIOUS issue, and can hurt so many people. On a podcast where we're making fun of Square-Enix, laughing, and joking- something like this just doesn't fit. I'm sorry- I just can't do it. Be mad at me if you wish, but I'm not budging.

There's so much news this week, that we don't even need to be covering something like this. And not ever. If you all want to make a politics podcast, go for it, like I said. I just can't. It's too much heavy stuff that can destroy someone, especially victims of child rape, etc. There's enough of this in mainstream media, something that I really, really dislike. What is that? Exploiting sensitive situations without having experienced them. Exploiting people.

But on a lighter note, we've also never covered MMOs in all due fairness as well. I play MMOs, I love them- however, I know not many people play them here. So it makes no sense to start now.

Microsoft released an iOS game with achievements. They are likely testing the waters for now. They are at least acknowledging the superior customer base of iOS over windows phone. It also shows they are more into the mobile market rather than the handheld. Let's see some more games come out for it and include Android. Now if only Nintedo and Sony could do the same.

As you know, we were doing multiple tracks in the recording prior this the most recent one. I am compiling episode 7 right now, and episode 8 is the same- with multiple tracks. However, episode 9 is in a format in which I can get the podcasts up the same night they are recorded. It's going to be awesome once I get these last two old-format ones done, but regardless, I apologize for the lateness of the others with multiple tracks.
