I was hanging out with SF, Ix, and Lantis this weekend, and because of Lantis' thoughtfulness in presenting us with Sonic Generations at that time, I experienced the best laugh I have ever had in my gaming career. And it is because of these two sentences below, destined to live in the great infamy of being the absolute most wrong grouping of words ever conceived by humankind and committed to a game's storyboard ->

This truly has to be the most hilarious thing I've heard in all of the video games I have ever played in my entire life. Hands down.

This is a great thread. Allow me to jump in with a random fact:

On one hand, I am rather sad that summer is winding down. Why? Because at that of year there's so much to do.
On the other hand, I'm looking forward to cooler weather.

Talk to you all soon.

This is my old CT sign:

This is it now:

Notice its lack of being on. This is because the bulb went out. And I'm having a hell of a time replacing it. I can't seem to find it anywhere. So I was going to see if anyone would be willing to aid me in my search.

Here's a picture of the bulb and the fixture that holds it:
(Spoiler for size)

The only markings I can find on it are "jingcai" with some foreign characters underneath. No model or serial numbers. If anyone can find this for me, I will be eternally grateful.

how long is it and what is the wattage?
Does the light turn on immediately or does it have to warm up first?
Is the bulb red or is there a red shield, sort of like how brake lights are in cars?

If I had to guess, I would say it is a F6T5 9" linear fluorescent tube.
If it heats up, then turns on, it is likely a T5. If not, then it might be a T4.

Measure it, go to the link above and its size will help you determine which one it is.
They may even be able to help if you call or email them with the dimensions.

Here's a randomish near match.

Actually, Myoky found it. Turned out to be a 6 watt T4. The site he found has a multitude of colors as well. Thanks for searching though. I'm super excited now.

Well, hurray! Even though I had to record today from being sick, looks like my BOF3 weekly update will be on time.:)

And, since Ixz poked fun during the Simple Man LP(well, that and I am enjoying it anyhow), and I basically started some work on my game some more. While I'm not messing much yet with the technical(aside from studying more about pixel art), I have been working more on story. It's exciting to fill up journal pages with world building.:D

It is alive once again!

Actually, it took a bit of effort. The bulb was measured at 9 inches. So that's what I ordered. Come to find out, they include the prongs in the length. So the bulb was too short. At this I could only do one of two things: Ship it back, get my money back, order the right one, and wait... or get out my trusty dremmel and shorten the thingie the bulb sits in. So I did that. And it worked.

Yay.

So for the past like 3 years of my life, my car's driver side window would never roll down all the way. It wasn't until today that I finally took the time to pull the side panel off (which took half of forever, and get my hands back there and figure out what was going on. After fixing it, I eventually got the side panel back on and it finally worked again.

I was going to drive for the first time in several years with my arm out my fully opened window on my way back to work...

...and then it started raining.

ಥ﹏ಥ

I'M SO GLAD APPLE "JUST WORKS".

I wanted to upgrade my girlfriend's Mac OS. Should not have been hard. We have laptops that shipped with Leopard that are older. Fine, I need Snow Leopard. I put it in the computer. It gets stuck in there, and does nothing. I took apart the computer and got the disc out, put it back together. The disc got scratched.:P So saying screw it, I put it back in. It loaded up! The surface scratches couldn't have done much right!? Wrong. It started installing, halfway through, disc read error and it doesn't eject again. I lack the patience to disassemble the thing again, so it's going to the "genius bar".

How in the hell do you not make your OS updates available digitally in this day and age(oh wait, I'm sorry. Lion and Mountain Lion are, but you NEED Snow Leopard to even get them!), is what I ask. We almost never use discs anyways in this house, but had to since Snow Leopard is DVD-only, and the app store only comes with Snow Leopard. Just let us buy that crap through iTunes, if you wanna wait for the app store. It's not like we wouldn't have paid for it again.

JUST PUT SNOW LEOPARD SOMEWHERE ONLINE. Well, they should be able maybe to ship in the part she needs for a replacement CD/DVD drive, I'm thinking. But yeah. Bah. Wasted an hour or two of my life tonight trying to fool with a Mac.:P
