What's with those minimum requirements? I have the original PC release, and let me tell you, it did not require anything near those specs.

Hahaha. Anyone who buys this is moderately retarded. It would be more fulfilling to go online and find a romhack of FF7 and play that instead. Those have better features than this... not to mention it's free.

Might as well get rid of all the battles.

Not like FF7 was really all that hard to begin with...

I didn't notice this before, but:

Seriously? Who gets stuck on FFVII? :P But yeah. Squeenix wants those dollar signs, though I'd never buy anything from their store. I have the original game in nearly mint condition. This might work out for people who don't have FFVII already. But yeah, I'm still pretty miffed over the fact that instead of FFV and FFVI also getting DS remakes(I liked the style), they decided to put FFIV out in TWO different remakes and forgot about it.:(

this would have to be significant of a graphic change for me to purchase it which isnt likely. now they are going on about how they must top ff7 first before they can do a remake of it. its unlikely they will be able to top this because it was so defining back in 97. the game was long, featured a half decent story, launched a new way of doing graphic, and introduced a ton of new gamers to the scene. square would have to capture that wind again which doesnt look likely given the tech changes and games that have come out since. square will still make money on the lame release of this which is probably what their after anyway.

my thoughts as to why they introduced the maxed health feature is for one simple reason: to allow players the chance to enjoy the story without having to level up or put any real energy into playing. most people who will be playing this ff7 remake are doing so not on their first play but perhaps several play through.

Then why buy it in the first place? I did know people who used cheat devices to do the same in the original one for the same reason, now that I think about it. That still baffles me me, but to each their own I guess.

That's gotta be one of the dumbest ideas for a feature I have ever heard. It's like if in a Mario game, they made it so that rather than fall into a bottomless pit, you'd just walk on the bottom of the screen.

Well, to be honest... what exactly did you expect coming from Square these days.

Because the fangirls and boys that got started with Advent Children and heck, even some back in the day don't wanna play the game- they just wanna be invincible and idolize Cloud and Sephiroth.:P

It's not so different from ye olde olden days. It's just that they're skipping the whole using a Gameshark thing. At least that's what I think is going on.

Oh, I get it. Square figured that if people were so stupid that they couldn't finish FF7 because it was just so hard, then they'd be too stupid to figure out how to use a gameshark. So they waited 15 years so that the anticipation of this cheatable version would come out. Bam, tons of money.

But seriously though. As far as RPGs are concerned, FF7 really is extremely easy. I'd hate to see someone who needs to use the cheats in FF7 play something like SMT: Nocturne.
