Ah, finally got to the MagCon-recorded episodes! Woot!

In between Magcon and this episode, we wound up going into Grate Guy's casino, where we started playing a game of "Look the Other Way". The prize is a mysterious item called the "Star Egg". And to win it, you have to win his game a grand total of... 100 times.

This episode was the result.



Honestly, I think it's my favorite episode in this LP so far. =P

However, that episode almost didn't happen. Prior to this recording session, I had planned on abandoning this let's play. I go into detail in this video here, about 19 minutes in:

So Super Mario RPG but as a hack? Hmm. Now i am really interested in watching these episodes. Even though i am LPing the original one, this looks really good to check out.

This is a great game. I tried to download the romhack once, but I was unsuccessful. Anyway, one thing I'd like to see is Culex. If he was so difficult in the original version, I'd expect it to be at least twice as hard in this version.

Dray already did fight Culex in the later videos. If he won or not, I'll just keep quiet about it. As for the romhack its self, I'm a little disappointed in how drastically all the boss fights were changed. Most of them had what made them interesting ripped out. But what can you do?

yeah i can understand. Rom Hacks will do that sometimes. But yeah as you said, what can you do?

There is only one episode left to upload. Sometime before this coming Wednesday, I'd like to do another session to queue up some more episodes. We're about to tackle the Axem Rangers. Like really, I cliffhung on Axem Red holding the star piece. Also, I've been hiding the death count since Valentina, because I was coming close to my 100th character death in this let's play. Will the Axem Rangers be the team that brings that death? I already know the answer, but you'll have to wait and see for yourselves.

So, any idea what day would be the best day for that? Not today, though (Thursday).

I'm free whenever. Worst case scenario, it's just me and you for a while.

At this point, it's been a whole year since I started this LP. For the unplanned celebration, let's fight Culex again! Even better, let's draw a horribly malformed Culex, as seen by Draygone!

In actuality, our next recording session, we're fighting Smithy. =D

Calling all knights of Sarah, you are in this episode and the following four. Also, this boss fight was sad.

Well crap, I forgot to have us keep track of how many deaths I've had. As hard as Smithy killed me, I probably reached my 200th death. Then again, as hard as Smithy killed me, we were probably too focused on surviving to keep track anyway.

Well, here we are, at Smithy. Gonna be an interesting fight.

Did I mention that this was gonna be an interesting fight?

Out of revives. Now this isn't so much interesting as it is nervewracking.
