I don't know if any of you guys are also excited about this, but recently, I just can't stop reading up on this continuation of an excellent series.

http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/The_Last_A ... d_of_Korra

The wiki there has most of the new info on it, with some spoilers, and quite a few pieces of early production and concept art.

I can't help but feel excited and a bit disappointed at the same time. The series had to grow, evolve to move on- but I think I'll miss the old cast somewhat. The original show(I'm re-watching right now- season 2 around the Ba Sing Se arc) has so many nuances that don't even hit you the first time around. A small piece of dialogue, or the fluidity of an animation. What has captivated me most has been the amount of polish and thought put into each nation. Each bending style is based on a similar art in real life, making for believable and suitable animation. Then there's the atmosphere created in each nation that really shines with just the small things(the hustle and bustle of Earth lands, for example). I think that's something you could easily relate back to great game design, or heck, great design in general.

The new series is supposed to be coming out in "mid-2012" and takes place 70 years after the first series. Korra is the new avatar, and a "pugnacious" girl from the southern Water tribe. From the concept art, she's also quite muscular and built as well, which is nice to see finally in a show. Of course, Kyoshi was the tallest Avatar previously, but she never got too too much screen time.

An exciting piece of news(I'm sure if you like the show, you know all of this stuff and I apologize) is that the fate of Zuko's mother will also finally be revealed in a Dark Horse Avatar comic that's starting on January 25th of this year. No word on an exact issue that will be revealed in, but it seems promised. It's nice to finally know, but also kind of shoddy that one of the co-creators shot down Zuko's proposed TV-movie deal for that storyline.

So what do you guys think about the series, and the new series in general?=)

I am so hype about the new Avatar series after Shamalamadingdong raped what could have been a brand-new amazing movie trilogy.

I'm ready to get it in for that Korra. She looks pretty badass.

WHAT A TWIST!

I loved the whole GIF edit I saw where they put the Nick series cast as a reaction image(the play from season 3), and scenes from that failure of a movie.

I'm really interested since they seem to be going a whole different route with this one- she already knows a ton of bending, she isn't as peaceful and level-headed as Aang, and the whole steampunk element should work well. It gives me a very slight FMA-feel.:D

Ix turned me onto the series sometime last year I want to say. When he told me there was a Nick cartoon worth watching, I thought he was pulling my chain. But as it turns out, it was a fantastic show. A very rare instance of good American anime.

I consider myself fortunate that I never went to see the movie. Actually as of the past year or so, I've stopped watching movies entirely. Majority of the time, they just aren't worth what you pay. That's even if they don't rape your eyes with something you thought you would like. The only think I watch these days are the Marvel films. They don't make me want to shoot myself.

But yeah, I'm totally looking forward to Legend of Korra. It's bittersweet though as I'm going to miss the original cast just like you mentioned in your first post. Really going to miss Toph.

I actually was ambivalent when I first saw the promos, but just after the first episode I was hooked. It's definitely not like anything else Nick has ever put out, so I think they're smart to throw SUPER money into the follow-up. Though, it's going to be 2 seasons compared to the prior one's whopping 3. That kind of sucks, but maybe something will give.

Never bothered seeing that movie since I saw the previews. Shamalamatwist just... not a fan of his movies. I thought it was cool though, that he does like the animated series quite a bit. He's actually the one who called up the co-creator who canceled Zuko's post-series movie and was like "ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?! You have to tell me what happens!" I'm just so hugely excited for the comic for that, since Zuko is one of my favorites. Him, and Iroh, Toph, and Sokka. Sub-characters moreso, Suki and Bumi.

There's something in the new series quite special about Toph, which I like. It's on the wiki, but she has QUITE an impact on the future, which is freaking awesome. I don't know if she'll be shown in it yet, though.:(

She'd better be. And just to throw this out there, I always thought earthbending was the most awesome. All the short but powerful looking hand gestures really seemed to fit. Something Shamalamadingdong completely overlooked.

Example:

Short, sweet, and freaking awesome.

This, however, I don't know what the hell this is supposed to be. Looks more like a retards dance. It's like he completely missed the point. Thanks SHAMalon.

Legend of Korra just got a release date: April 14, 2012! I AM EXCITE!

http://blogs.detroitnews.com/geekwatch/ ... n-goodies/

Quote:
Lots of geeky interest came out of Nickelodeon’s upfront presentation, where networks present what they’ve got cooking to the TV press.

The big news is we finally have a release date, 11 a.m. April 14, for “The Legend of Korra,” a sequel series to the beloved “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” Nick’s description: “The series centers around a new Avatar named Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl who continually challenges and bucks tradition on her quest to become a fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. ”

I have to say I, like many other fans, am terribly excited about this. I especially love that the fantasy world didn’t remain static. In the trailer, you see cars, microphones, cameras. It looks great.

But there were some other animated goodies announced (text from Nick):

– “Raving Rabbids,” which will join the net’s animation line-up in spring 2013, brings to television the hysterical physical comedy that has become so popular in Ubisoft’s “Raving Rabbids” video games. Nickelodeon has secured global broadcast rights for 26 new CG episodes of “Raving Rabbids,” which will be produced by Ubisoft.

– “Monsters vs. Aliens,” the all-new animated television series marking the third partnership between Nickelodeon and DreamWorks Animation. Green-lit for 26 episodes and based on the popular characters from the 2009 blockbuster hit feature film ($383 million worldwide gross); the new series will continue to follow the funny escapades of the beloved, well-meaning monsters.

– “Robot & Monster,” which will also be hitting Nickelodeon’s air for a 26-episode run for the 2012-2013 season. Created by Josh Sternin, Jeff Ventimilia and Dave Pressler, this CG-animated buddy comedy is set in a unique world where gangs of Howling Cyber Monkeys roam the streets at night, everybody loves bacon, and robots and monsters live side by side, but typically don’t get along.

On the live-action front, “Supah Ninjas,” co-starring George Takei (“Star Trek”), will be back with new episodes.

We also get a series starring one of the most annoying human beings on the planet, Lucas Cruikshank (aka Fred), in “Marvin, Marvin,” a series about alien teen Marvin living with a human family.

And they’re actually doing another live-action “Fairly OddParents” movie, “A Fairly Odd Christmas.” The first one was cute in a campy way, but …

I'm going into this optimistic, but I really doubt this will be as good as Last Airbender. Dropping the whole crew is just too much of a change. And after watching the trailer, I can tell that Korra isn't going to be someone I really like near as much as Aang. Aang was quiet and humble about his position. Korra, on the other hand, standing in front of a crowd over microphones with a raised arm, claiming the title of Avatar is just.... yeah. No.

Anyways, I think I'll find some time to re-watch the original before Korra starts.

What is up Korra Nation?

I know she's the opposite, but I think another zen character takes away a bit. Though she isn't the first more assertive female avatar by a loooong shot. Kyoshi may even have her beat(previous Earth avatar).

However, I fully expect that along her journey she will have to master an inner calm to master airbending. She's a bit hot-headed, so that'll probably be her weakness... just like Aang originally had so much trouble firebending. I found it interesting how they went with opposites. Though the last waterbending avatar got screwed over hard, so hopefully Korra has a long journey and retains being kickass while learning diplomacy through Aang's descendants, the bending conflict, and airbending.

EDIT: First episode leaked, saw it, it was amazing. Without going into exact spoilers, Korra isn't as different from Aang as the promos would have you thinking. At least, to me, it seems she is going to be just fine as an avatar.:D

Thanks for the update that the show has started btw, Ix.

I'm finally caught up to the most recent episode. I have to admit that it's nothing from what I expected. I knew it was in a more modern time, but that's like... really modern. A few things I don't really like are that lightning bending and metal bending is common practice now. Next thing you know, all water benders will also casually train as blood benders as well. I mean, I understand Toph invented iron bending and her daughter being head caption of the police force, would train all her units to iron bend. But it just seems to kind of cheapen how difficult it was (or how amazing it was) when Toph figured it out.

And Ix explained this to me, but I just don't like how Korra already mastered three elements. I mean, that was the whole buildup with Aang over the course of the entire series. So does that mean the entire Legend of Korra series is going to be her struggling with air bending the entire time? That's going to get old... But not as old as the whole romance thing has already gotten. If things are going to be like episode 5, I don't know if I'll be able to continue to watch this high school drivel.

That said, the bending and the fights look as amazing as I would have expected them to be. I'm still excited to see were the series is going and I'm also looking forward to flashbacks of the old Avatar crew all grown up and junk. Also, I'm really digging the antagonist this time around. You know, that Dr. Doom looking mofo.

ImageImage/

Just sayin'

Anyways, I may have a bunch of complaints, but I really do like it thus far. And I expect it to get a lot better. Also, I'm glad I know where Fay's avatar came from now.

Lantis, I absolutely agree on the "Romance". The only decent person seems to be Asami.:P

Korra is being well... a Taylor Swift song. "You Belong With Me" in particular, which is just really crappy. We get a female Avatar- she is obsessed with a dude. But the dude is also an ass, and cheating on someone who is legit nice pretty much. Then we have poor Bolin, just all my sympathy is with that dude. I just hope they end this romance garbage, it's like, pretty much a carbon copy clone of the Thundercats plot(which a part of the Avatar crew worked on), and basically they added Asami.

But man- I have seen the worst parts of women and the fandom in general from this drivel. I'm tired of the mentality there, of the subtle or outright forced competition with women perceived as "threats" because they may have different interests, or are more attractive by societal standard, etc. And this show is basically reinforcing that. Korra is the young girls and hell, even adolescent ones watching the show to them. And Asami has not done a single thing wrong, besides wearing makeup, legitimately liking someone and being assertive about it, getting the money donation to help the sport and guy she is a fan of, and hey- giving Korra a legit compliment. It makes me sad she likes Mako because of that. Maybe her and Bolin will team up or something. It was also interesting, the female fan response to the moped incident. Not going too much into details, if Mako had accidentally hit Korra, they would've swooned. But, it was of course and EVIL, evil, woman who hit their beloved self-insert love with one. Still by accident, and she kinda freaked out that it happened. Then there's the whole "OMG working with the Anti-Benders because she has 'goth' makeup and black hair!" It really makes me wonder what they do IRL if they see women who have black hair, and yeah, that sort of look tends to work with that color hair best. I mean, I'm open to her being maybe somehow involved, but then you also realize she is a fan of Pro-Bending, so, what? And the "task force" isn't looking so hot either.

I will say this, and sorry for the rant but just ugh, but it is cool that this a plot where both sides don't seem entirely right. So you have a hard time with that, or at least I have. That's some good story.

And two, I wish they would've waited for season 2 for this romance stuff(I mean seriously, they just met like all of a day before Korra was swooning?), and two, I hope they just get back to the action and small bits of comedy soon. That's what really works Avatar for me. Thus far, I still like the first series better. And they're really trying for me to, since I mean, FERRET/RED PANDA. C'MOONNNNN!

I actually LIKE (and respect) Asami. As you say, she didn't sit around waiting to make moves. She went out on a limb, put her pride on the line, and got lucky. Much respect.

It seems like Korra and Mako are assholes. Korra is a homewrecker and Mako is a near-two-timer. And my heart goes out to Bolin, who was CRUSHED. I swear, in these things, the Bolins of the world NEVER get the chicks. Which is such bullsh*t, because then Korra used Bolin's kindness for her own personal gain. Heaven forbid she give a glance to the guy who's not acting like an aloof jackass every 5 minutes. I wish they had left the love stuff on the cutting room floor, cut the drama from the lovin', or at least downplayed it like in the original series.

Unfortunately, everything this season has been rushed because of Nick giving them 13 episodes at first, then when they were almost done, gave them 13 more. They were like "wtf man, we finished the storyboards with 13 in mind!", so they left the current season as it was and just made another season for the other 13. I think they would have probably handled it better if they had been given more time.

But I will say that this is a blemish on an otherwise promising series. I love the f*ck out of Amon. This dude I think gives the Fire Lord a run for his money as best bad guy.

Team Asami. Hell, I don't care if she does end up working with Amon somehow. By this point Korra deserves some kinda antagonist action.:P

I KNOW RIGHT? They deserve each other at this point. If there must be romance, Asami and Bolin should go hang out at his favorite dives, and ride some fast cars and whatnot. And you wanna know the joke of it all? Bolin's profiles, all of them- mention him being great with the ladies. We're led to assume that before the series starts, he gets tons of dates from Pro-Bending. Which, he probably does! And that's fine, but yeah, not really showing in the uh, show. So I have no idea why they included that in his biographies and whatnot. I am also kinda meh on the fact that the character named for Mako, the man who voiced Iroh, is just such an ass of a character. When I first saw previews, I though... hey another likeable Zuko character! Nope.

Thanks for the info about the seasons, Ixz. Did not know that. I thought they signed two seasons at once... I mean honestly, with how huge the first one was. I hope they go longer and this romance crap becomes a small mediocre spot in the long run of things. It's also kinda crap when people assume "Oh, they're 17-18, they can't possibly have any depth, they're teenagers!" and go to this sort of plot. That also explains a lot of the crap in YA literature.:P

I came up with a better plot for that episode I feel- in like 5 minutes. My version? The "task force" waterbending dude, he didn't want Korra to be in that tournament(this gets like one line of dialogue in the actual episode). He wanted her to do work for his little glory project. So, he crafts a set-up... he makes it look like the Equalists have taken Mako hostage. And he actually does do that, in disguise. Asami is worried, too... so Korra, Asami, and Bolin team up to find Mako. Maybe have some tension between Korra and Asami, but they end up having to work together(same theme this episode was supposed to have apparently), and there's a huge action scene with Asami tearing up the roads with one of her cars, with Korra bending while hanging out of the window of said car, and Bolin being the wisecracker in the back and also providing support. They find Mako, unharmed- but the whole thing reeks. Nothing is set up right, and why is Amon not there to taunt Korra? All that good stuff. And then somehow, it turns out they found Mako before the tournament thankfully(due to teamwork), and then the next episode could've been the actual tournament, focusing mainly on the whole vampire-type bending group vs the Fire Ferrets.

I still personally think that the leader of the "task force" and Amon are the same person. I think he wants a power play, make a perceived enemy and manipulate the people, and control who can and cannot bend to have ultimate power over Republic City. That's my guess.

Also, Amon totally gives the Fire Lord a run for said money. I think Blum's voice acting helps that along.:D

I'm not going to dwell long on the whole romance thing. But I will say that Korra and Bolin actually looked happy together on their "date." I see no reason why things wouldn't have worked out. Which just makes everything else that happened that much more infuriating. They had better drop that junk like a bad habit and get back to bending badassery.

But yeah, I agree with you, Fay. Amon has some kind of connection with the task force and that water bending smarmy leader guy. Also, I really don't know how I feel about Korra. Putting aside the whole crap-tastic romance thing. Before it ever released I mentioned how I didn't like how self-absorbed she seemed about being the avatar. Unlike how humble and innocent Aang seemed to go about it. And that still remains true. She has this cocky attitude... and then the one time she almost got owned, she converted to this whiney crying little charity case. And I'm like, "No. You don't get to act like that and then turn around and play the pity card. Screw you."

I think she learned a bit too much from Katara.:P Right down to stealing her lines in a recent episode, haha.

I honestly think though, that Korra is seriously unhappy on the inside. Despite living quite the sheltered life courtesy of the White Lotus, I think honestly her hangup right now is that she misses Katara and her family. And is overacting to try and cover that up. Because seriously, she's never been away from home- that's a shock. My jury is still out on her, but I do feel they're traveling a different direction- albeit the exact opposite. Aang had a lot of trouble being assertive and solving problems(and the whole hiding in the ocean thing). Which, he was a little guy, he had every right to be scared. But Korra, well, she's starting out cocky and brash, but I really think they're going to develop her into a more zen-type character in order to even her out completely. Tenzin is already making some progress there. But, she's been in Republic City for like what? Two weeks? A month? But, I am hoping she makes some strides by the end of this season. And since it seems they were rushed, season 2 might treat her and other characters a lot better. I want to like Mako- I really do, I have a penchant for the underdog kinda kids(him and Bolin), that have the street smarts to get by and work hard. So he needs to stop acting like such a prissy prince, too.:P

Also, Bolin and Korra... hey, it might happen. Avatar trolled pretty hard with its supposed romances right up until the final season haha. MY GIRLFRIEND TURNED INTO THE MOON! "That's rough."

You do have a point. I can't get too angry at this. The original Avatar had it's own set of romance. But at least in Last Airbender, it happened after the characters were fully developed, so you can kind of SEE the bond that might turned into a relationship. In Korra, it was like they let pre-teens right the script.

But I really hope you are right about Korra becoming a more zen type character toward the next season. At least Amon put her in her place last time they met. A little humility will do her a world of good.

OH! Have they kicked it up. The water tribe dude just appeared in one of Korra's visions, and Aang did not seem to like him very much. I am wondering now, if he and Amon are the same person, OR is he working with Amon?

Also, Chief Bei Fong and Tenzin for LIFE, yo. Screw you Pema!:P Bei Fong is now my 1st favorite character.:D

Also, Bolin is still my favorite. Cause like, so much Pabu love.

...and I think they may really try to make Asami bad still. Since tech is a part of the revolution. Hoping not.

AND THIS IS THE KIND OF EPISODE I'VE BEEN WANTING! Faith redeemed. HOLY FREAKING CRAP. I haven't jumped around yelling at a show in a while, haha.

So season 1 is over and the next season will be 14 episodes instead of 12.

Someone posted something on another forum that fits in line with my thinking of the finale.

Don't read if you're worried about spoilers!

Quote:
Okay, I thought that after letting the disappointment of the finale pass, I'd be able to look back on Korra with fondness for the most part, but...it's really bad. My biggest problem is with Korra.

She came into this series as a brash, warrior type character, who didn't know much of anything else except bending. When introduced, I thought the season would spend time teaching her spirituality, that bending itself is secondary to the spiritual understanding of bending as a way to keep balance. This progress would develop as her relationship with the nonbending population develops. I thought it was an important starting point that Korra came into this thinking "bending was the greatest thing in the world" because, to fix the imbalance between the benders and nonbenders, she'd have to be able to fully sympathize with nonbenders in a way she can't do when she is thinking less of them for not being able to bend. It seemed unlikely to me that Korra could think of nonbenders equally to benders if she is so in love with the physical side of bending. Learning the spiritual side of bending would not only enable korra to complete her training as the avatar but this would be the point in which she learns the value of nonbenders because spirituality is something ALL people possess (hence the Air Acolytes in Tenzin's Airtemple). With her previous notion of bending being the most important thing in the world, she could find a way to solve the problems of benders vs nonbenders.

Instead, Korra, amazingly, learned not a single damn thing in the entire series. Look back in the first episode, and go through the series, all that happens is that Korra goes through a period of self doubt. But she doesn't change in any way. She came into this thinking bending was the best thing ever, and she demonstrated that that is exactly what she still thinks in the finale, because despite unlocking her airbending and spirituality, she was about to kill herself just because she couldn't shoot flames out of her hands anymore.

And she never really grows out of the mindset that the avatar isn't really just this superhero who kicks the bad guy's ass. The Avatar's job is to bring balance to the world, and that means solving this imbalance between Benders and nonbenders. But her only priorities, other than romancing Mako and Probending, was to beat up Amon. Throughout the series, she never really paid attention to the idealogical conflict going on, with the one exception of when Tarrlok went crazy and started oppressing people in front of her eyes. And she completely failed in that regard, btw. Lin is the one who got her friends out of jail, and then she tried to go fight Tarrlok (again, stuck in the "beat up the guy making trouble" mindset), in which she lost. As far as we know, that nonbending curfew law may very well still be in effect, since we never saw them repeal it, but korra seemed unconcerned because Amon was still on the loose. Now, amon was the bigger threat at that point, so I will concede that going after him and leaving the politics for later may have been the correct course of action, but it seems to me that Korra never even took it into consideration. I think she just assumed Tenzin would take care of it, and he probably will, but that's suppose to be her job as well. The show even acknowledges that her being so physically oriented this is a problem (Tarrlok pointing out how he and Korra are very similar people in how they force things to go their way when they want), but they never DO anything about it. How can she be an avatar that brings balance to the world when her method of operation is to hit things until they work the way she wants them to?

The show really doesn't seem to be aware of extreme lack of development. For example, look at near the end of episode 10 where Tenzin tells korra they need to hide away and think of a plan. Korra, grudgingly, says that he is telling her that they need to be patient, and Tenzin praises her, telling her she is learning. This is baffling because it's obvious that Korra is only submitting to this plan because of his authority, and would much rather NOT be patient. And if you think I'm looking too much into it, just look at Korra's very first speaking scene in the next episode in the next episode where she wants to reveal herself and attack amon like usual because he essentially called her chicken. The show also covers up her lack of development by giving her dues ex machina's like free candy, so she can balance the world without really trying. Have to take care of amon? Here your airbending is suddenly unlocked. Amon's got you in a grip with bloodbending? Hey your strong, you can kick out of it anyway. Lost your bending and you want to kill yourself over it? No worries, you got in touch with your spiritual side, you can have your bending back now. Everyone else still has lost their bending? Here, you have full control of the Avatar State AND can energy bend, something Aang had to work his ass off for, just for free. Isn't she a wonderful avatar, everybody? Look at all she can do!

I highly doubt that the writers will take the series this direction, but with how immature Korra is and how she was just made the most powerful person on the planet in the last episode, the most logical sequence of events would be to show how dangerous a teenage girl with the powers of a god with shaky values beyond said physical powers would act. Imagine if Mako decides that another girl has struck his fancy. Korra could very well go on a rampage. She starts chasing down criminals, not caring about collatoral as she viciously attacks criminals in the streets, in the avatar state, with earthquakes and hurricanes and firestorms, causing untold property damage. And who would be able to tell her off if she decides she doesn't want to hear it? After all, the man of her life, mako, has just dumped her for another girl! Her life sucks and she is miserable and....See what I mean? The idea of Korra as the avatar is a frightening one. Having never earned those powers, she never developed the maturity that she needs for me to trust her with them. But they're never going to take the show in this direction because it's clear we're suppose to be cheering for Korra when she got everything at the end.

I have other problems, and I do have things I like about this show, but good lord, did they drop the ball with the central storyline.

See, I disagree with this one bit. Yes, the writers dropped the ball. However, the writing wasn't this huge great thing like whoa in the first season of the original show, or even parts of the second. Aang gets SUPER impatient with learning fire bending in the first season. And pretty much everything... from ignoring his master in the first place to hide in a bubble for 100 years from impatience, to basically a hero who is strong and just, and most importantly, wise. Korra is not simply submitting to Tenzin as a superior- she is respecting where he is coming from. She's been sheltered in a different sort of bubble by the White Lotus for some years, and needs to learn to be wise, learn to be patient. I think in the end of the episode, we didn't get enough coverage of well... her! Had we, we may have seen that her first spiritual connection provided her some small insights. Aang wasn't the savior of Avatar-land in a day, man.

HOWEVER. The first season was lackluster. Absolutely. The first show is just much, much better. As to why- I came into this show, having watched the new Thundercats that some of the team for the show also worked on. The whole deus ex trope is VERY true for so many characters. There was a pretty insulting excuse for a stupid love triangle in that show, as well. And when I saw it here again... man.

And then there's the fact that I hate a part of Team Avatar. I cannot get over how ridiculously much Mako is just cringe-inducing. Bolin is so awesome, Asami is too- but while I see that Korra is no different in Aang in a lot of ways(actually, hell- he had his moment blowing off the girl working for the fortune teller in a not-so-eloquent-way and being one-track-minded on Katara too), but just... I don't like this whole Mako Korra plot. Asami is extremely patient with him for that. I'm hoping she ends up with Iroh, Zuko's grandson. Get with the real thing, for real. Korra... enh. The love life bullcrap killed most of S1 for me. I hope they learn from this, and realize that marketing a show as "but we want teenagers so let's do stupid things and belittle the very market we want!"

Just bleh. The best part was the end of the finale. I hope Korra grows and the writers don't use "hormones" as the excuse. Because let it be known, I didn't really like Korra much at all in season 1, just perhaps for some different and some of the same reasons. And that's muy mal, cause uh, she's the title protagonist!

Anyone else notice the whole Uchiha Naruto type similarity with the whole Amon Tarlok(however you spell the fool's name) plot?

I agree with Ix's post too. And I hate to say it because I want to like the series so bad. The good parts were freaking awesome. But you had to search for them through all of Korra's angst and romance drama. Yes, it sucks that Nickelodeon gave them so little room to create a sequel to The Last Airbender, but it's totally their fault that they took what little time they had and did THAT with it. And on top of that, what's up with Asami now? She was literally the perfect girl. She was hot, rich, loyal, and meek (like when helping Tenzin's wife with dishes despite her upbringing). She was literally the OPPOSITE of everything Korra is. And then Mako drops trou for Korra at the tail end. I call BS. She was even willing to look past Mako making out with Korra earlier too... I don't even have that kind of forgiveness. If that were me, I'd be gone immediately. I mean, she just lost her father too. The writers much really have something against her.

What's also BS is how she "learns" airbending AFTER her bending is taken away. Think about that for just a moment. And she was just GIFTED the avatar state from Aang at the end. Just like, "here you go!" "Okay thanks!" Also BS.

And the biggest shame of all is that there's now way to fix this. As far as Nickelodeon is concerned, the next season is it. You can't undo that mess in 14 episodes. Legend of Korra is literally a fourth the size of Last Airbender. B to the S.

Ix, could you find that image you showed me after we finished the series. I can't find it and I need a laugh.
