You know, all the hype for Dead Island was entirely exaggerated. Had it not been for the duplication glitch or playing with you guys, I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago.

As for me, I've already played through and beaten Arkham City. I don't think it was good as the first game, but it was still pretty awesome. They kind of did this open world thing and it just really didn't feel right. The first game had a kind of zelda-esque feel to it with level progression, but with open world, that's all out the window. And once again, you'll find yourself just dicking around wasting your time more than actually progressing in the game.

And now I'm playing Uncharted 3 and Disgaea 4. And people say there are no good PS3 exclusives.

I just completed Bastion. Now for NewGame+ to see the other ending and get everything I missed the first time.

Considering I have no money for video games, I have invested all of my gaming time to a free MMO called Forsaken World.

My main is a level 72 Elf Light Bard called Asterixion, and I love him

I've been trying other classes, but none of them are as fun as the bards, so I ended up making another bard in order to level it up with another friend who also wanted a bard but has no idea how to play them (And I did want to try other Sub Class for Bard but didn't want to ditch Light!)

I a few days ago I started playing a game for the GBA called Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. I beat it within a couple of days, but I think it's a good game, especially for the GBA. It's an RPG and the game requires you to go through many levels of a dungeon an find materials to craft stronger weapons. At the same time, your character is participating in a tournament to become the next Craftlord since there is a vacancy. The battle system is much like the older Tales of games, which is nice because I enjoy that kind of battle system.

I am now in the middle of playing the second game in the series (and unfortunately, the last in the US). The gameplay is similar, though crafting has changed a bit from before, and your weapon durability doesn't heal after every battle, but is able to last longer. The game is a bit more difficult than its predecessor. I'm enjoying it though. I recommend these games to anyone who wants to try some RPGs out for the GBA.

Uncharted 3 and Disgaea 4 complete. Uncharted was freakin' awesome, as expected. And Disgaea 4 was yet another fantastic strat RPG. I beat the game around level 120, but I did at least unlock the bonus chapter which will be the start of the thousands of level yet to gain in that game.

But I'm putting that aside for now as I just put two hours into Skyward Sword last night. It actually turned out to be more waggly than I expected. Example: When you find the Master Sword, you have to walk up to the stand, turn the wiimote upside down as if it were the hilt of the sword, hold A as if gripping it, pull upwards to remove it and then hold it up in the air triumphantly. And it was a bit picky about how triumphantly I held it before it would continue. All of this could have easy been done in a scene without needing this kind of input. I think what they were going for is more immersion into the game... but waggle is just not capable of that. So it comes off irritating on what should be a momentous occasion. But I'm going to stick it out, it's Zelda after all.

The greatest in the X series, might I add.

I'm taking on Mega Man 10 on hard mode tonight. Wish me luck.

Megaman X would like a word with you.

I've devoted pretty much the entire past 2 weeks to playing Skyrim, and pretty much all I've accomplished is completing the Dark Brotherhood quest line. :|

So this past weekend, Ixzion came by. He brought Kirby's Return to Dreamland. Absolute best game I've played on the Wii in a very long time. And, in fact, the best Kirby game since Superstar Saga. Not only do all awesome powers from Saga come back, but a lot of them have new moves AND there a few good new powers all together (I was rather partial to Spear). The co-op was well done too. You can either play as another Kirby and enjoy your copying prowess, or you can play as either Meta Knight, Dedede, or Wadle Dee who had permanent powers they couldn't lose: Sword, Hammer, and Spear... respectively. As a few points in the game my wife and sister jumped in. And with 4 player co-op, there was way too much happening on screen at any given time. I actually prefer just two (that and Ix and I had a good 30 lives stored up before they jumped in... only to lose ALL OF THEM). But yeah, the game perfectly caught the spirit and nostalgia of classic Kirby and I couldn't be happier with it. Ix and I even grabbed all 120 gears (which are the equivalent of stars in Mario). That, with Skyward sword, I can finally be proud I own a Wii again!

And speaking of Skyward Sword (or mainly, Zelda in general), I'm really getting into the spirit of the 25 anniversary of Zelda. Not only did I grab Skyward Sword, but I picked up the 25 anniversary edition of the 3DS that came with Ocarina of Time. And better yet, I only plaid 129 bucks for it when normally a 3DS is around 180 bucks with no pack in game. Not only that, but the DS shop had a special 25 anniversary edition of Four Swords for free. And what's special about it is that it's been changed to support single player. Originally, the game was bundled with the GBA port of A Link to the Past... and the only way you could play it was with three other people who also had GBA's, a copy of the game, and that retarded GBA connection cable. And as it stands, it's the only Zelda title I haven't beaten (excluding Skyward Sword). So I'm glad I get to finally fix that. Oh, and OoT? It has a Uber Master Quest. If you remember the master quest from the Gamecube version, this one mirrors the entire world, adds new enemy layouts, and said enemies have damage buffs. I'm looking forward to the challenge. I have to be the main game first though... and I'm currently in Jabu-jabu's belly.

So yeah, lots of Zelda going on up in here.

Sweeeeet.

I have been playing Pokemon Emerald most of last week and into this week. I decided to play it while I'm not LPing right now (taking a break). I have both Ruby and Emerald, but Emerald seems to be the better version, imo. In any case, I started off with Torchic (usually do) and have been leveling up several pokemon and have been finding some better ones over what I've used in the past (Absol over Mightyena for example). I had the most trouble at the psychic gym in Mossdeep mainly because of the ground/rock psychic pokemon the twins have. Lots of defense, lots of HP. Can't use Blaziken as he is susceptible to both ground, rock, and psychic, so he'd get raped. I trained up 2 dark types and a ghost/dark (Absol, Mightyena, and Sableye). I was pretty tempted to get another ghost, but I managed to eek out a win at the end with just Sableye and Mightyena left. I'm currently tracking down the 3 legendaries and have 97 pokemon logged as captured in my pokedex. I'm still trying to get them all, but some are a pain to get.

Got MGSHD for the 360 as a sort of congratulations of getting a job gift for myself. Played and beat both MGS 2 and 3 in the past week and I must say, I love Snake Eater. I like having achievements for the MGS games, too. Definitely gives it a reason to be replayed. The graphics are slightly improved by virtue of HD. I have to play through Peace Walker next and then probably give Metal Gear 1 and 2 a try. A nice big bundle for $50. I say get it.

I'm at the tail end of the Zelda binge I was on. I've beaten the single player campaign in Four Swords, I've beaten Ocarina of Time twice (one of those times being on the mirrored master quest), and I'm standing in front of the final dungeon in Skyward Sword. It's been a good month.

On a non-zelda related note, I picked up Sonic CD for XBLA. It got the same treatment as most ports do. So there's wide screen, achievements, ability to play as tails, a save feature, etc. So far, I've got all the cheevs minus the one that requires you to find ALL the robot transporters and all the Metal Sonic holograms. I've got the first three zones down... just four to go.

Also, Insultobot found this little gem called Dungeon Defenders. While the title sounds painfully generic, it's actually quite the awesome game. It's a tower defense mixed heavily with RPG elements. We've been tearing through that this week like nobody's business.

I started Peace Walker today, and I'm not too high on it. I like the canon games from the main series, but the side stories (Acid, Portable Ops, Peace Walker) don't seem to really draw you in and get you engaged. When I first played MGS2, I had a hard time stopping because I really enjoyed the engaging story and characters. Then MGS3 was even more engaging. Peace Walker just doesn't pull me in like the others did. Maybe because it's a side story that really doesn't have much to do with the Patriots and the main plot of the series. I'll still play through it, but I'm not in love with Peace Walker.

So I just finished Super Mario 3D Land. I collected every single one of the star coins and beat the game in three days. And I didn't really dedicate all that much time to it. The game is short and easy. But it wasn't bad. Just short... and not very challenging. I did unlock a version where I can play the entire game again. I'm going to check it out to see if anything is different. If not, then I'll just pack it up. If you guys ever get it, don't expect a whole lot. Aside from the tanuki suit, there are only two other powers. Kind of lame.

I finally started Assain's Creed Revelations. I find myself just doing the storyline missions now and avoiding all the optional open world stuff. I like the story, but running from plot point to plot point sometimes takes longer than the storyline missions. Also fairly lame.

I just finished up Sonic CD. Got all the cheevs and just finished the game with Tails to see if it unlocked anything in extra mode, which it did not. So I'm not sure how to unlock the last two things. I'll google it some time.

Other than that, I'm still playing Dungeon Defenders with Ix and Insult. In fact, I'm heading that way now.

I've made some decent headway in Skyrim. I also beat the first world of Rayman Origins. The game is great! Go try it. Up to four players local on one screen and up to four players over LIVE. I'm guessing the other consoles support the same multiplayer options as the 360 version.

EDIT:
I may have been mistaken about the online multiplayer. It looks like, according to the xbox.com page for R:O, that it is just local multiplayer. It is drop in drop out and lots of fun all the same. Go get the demo for it and see what you think.

I just now finished my playthrough of Skies of Arcadia Legends.

*satisfactory sigh of nostalgia*

An excellent non-open-ended RPG for those who still enjoy adventuring exploration, as well as an endearing tale of being a noble and idealistic hero in spite of overwhelming odds and heavy temptation to turn to cowardice and dishonor in the face of pressure, and believing in the good of humankind in spite of its dark half that those in power want so quickly to judge.

Gamecube, Wii, or Dreamcast owner? I highly suggest picking this one up.

Afterthought: I finally picked up Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube the other day, which Lantis recommended to me several years ago for its scare factor. I'm just glad I learned about the

ahead of time from ScrewAttack, 'else I would have totally fallen for it.

Perhaps I can get a quick first-time playthrough of this done before I go back to work on Friday ... for SIX nights in a row! Wheeeee!!!!
