@hyper - so you've played by the rules, studied hard, and you're getting sh*t on by the system you've defended. How much does politics matter to you now? http://wearethe99percent.tumblr.com/ <- plans and loans were not made to help you.

Okay. Occupy Wall Street's intent is nice, and I agree with it. The way some behave in the midst of it, I don't agree with all of it. But this is a major deflection. Where are the people protesting the f*cking government. No one protests that sh*t. They're also part of the problem, but we're going after wall street and all that. Great. They're part of the problem too. But we're also not attacking the other half. You can say we do that by voting. But we're usually voting for the lesser of two evils. I've been told many times before that I don't have the right to complain if I don't vote. Some call it apathy. I call it not wanting to vote for someone I don't full support or believe in. People follow party lines and vote for their team. Stupid. Completely stupid. Then we continue to vote in career politicians. Why does the president have term limits, but congress doesn't have to worry? The problems we face are beyond the f*cking smokescreen being thrown in our face right now.

I'm going off your topic to say that I just had the most painful experience of taking off my socks. Yay scabs and them breaking and bleeding on your sock and then drying so your sock is part of your skin.

That is all. You can return to your OWS talk~

im not sayin there isnt differences, ows as a movement is only a collection of people doing something together. they're not going to agree on everything, no movement is ever full of totally agreeing members. the website i posted wasnt about occupying though, it's a blog by people who have been let down by an unfair system, who are in the 99%. loans and plans were made to benefit the 1%, all i'm saying is whatever your opinion, do care, politics is just your life in relation to other people's. as much as you say you hate talking about politics and dont pay any attention to it. it's still your life.

I like how you can't type 'no' but instead choose to post a 6 minute video. <3

Incidentally, I find that the usage of statistics concerning the percentage value of votes divided into jurisdictions, as a justification for disowning the value of one's own individual vote to be at best, an overreaction.

If you have an infinitesimally small slice of an orange, and someone living, shall we say on Rhode Island, has an almost equally infinitesimally small slice of an orange which you think IS EVER SO SLIGHTLY BIGGER, you shouldn't go AW HELL NO and throw your sliver of orange away.

Unless, that is, you didn't want it anyway and were just looking for an excuse to? :p

There's also the possibility that this system works in one's favour. I know people whose votes are cast in such small constituencies that they feel obliged to use them.

Why do you say that? Perhaps you meant it would have looked more appropriate somehow to have actual humans against the real-life location portrayed in what is probably one of the most infamous album covers of all time, but still, cosplay usually looks so terrible in my opinion that it totally wouldn't have been worth it.

... I just saw this really weird 80's (what other era could it have been if I mention the term "weird"?) film called Date With An Angel.

Naturally, the title appealed to my nature, but it was one of those movies you just sit still for a few moments once the credits appear trying to decide whether it was good or it sucked ... and you can't come to a decision.

I guess I can only say this much: The movie seemed really ridiculous for most of the beginning and ending, but pretty much for the rest of the 100 minutes or so it was ... cute, I guess, and it kept me watching.

... I suppose I recommend it just for a late-night viewing when you can't get to sleep or something. If nothing else, the actress playing the Angel (that's her name - just "Angel") does a very good job of portraying one such divine being as I would expect her to after arriving in the human world by accident. She doesn't speak a single English word, she becomes fascinated by Wendy's french fries (umm, yeah) once she learns how to bite into food and chew it, and she has an unbreakable, innate habit of charming every hostile or angry human or animal she sees into a complete pacifist. There was even a rather amusing but somehow all-too-appropriate scene where the angel becomes fixated on a statue of Jesus when the main character brings her to a church to seek advice on what to do with a winged person that fell from the sky and into his backyard, and at the most inopportune moment, a person nearby who had been praying at the altar all this time looks up, sees the angel standing next to Jesus, ... and screams and runs out, presumably because she had been confessing a sin or something and the first thought that came through her mind was that a real angel had been sent to carry out a fiery judgment upon her. Still, I don't really know why it was called "Date With An Angel". I mean, there wasn't really any dating scene that took place. It didn't even really become a love story until the very end, either.

Eh, I guess I liked it.

Oh, and this is what the Angel looks like ->

And, now you know the true reason I hung on after watching the beginning sequences.

I think it's more that I'm not as hit by the 'infamous' bit, it'd be just as good if they were superimposed on a photo of the street outside. But if it was really well done I might at least be wowed by the quality.

Nope, he's still here and things are still awkward. I've kept him off the Mag so he can't defend himself while I make wild claims about him.

And don't let Ix bust up in here and say something like we were all blessing the food for Thankgiving either.

He held Lantis's wife's hand. Just another black man trying to take what the white man has.

But speaking of the reverse of that concept, I watched Black Dynamite last night. Movie never gets old.
