Nintendo's starting with a Zelda montage done by an orchestra. It's showing past Zelda game moments.

Recapping Link's Adventure, LTTP, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. The music sounds pretty nice. I guess they're gonna start off with Skyward Sword first.

Yep, here's some new Skyward Sword footage. A girl gets swallowed by a whale. The game looks damn good. Like grown-up Wind Waker.

And they're gonna talk about Zelda's 25th.

Miyamoto is now on stage in a suit and tie. He invites Bill Trinen to the stage to translate.

They say that last year was the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. He says hearing the music done by the orchestra was wonderful and all that. They're gonna make the orchestra play some of the themes from Zelda.

First, the "solve puzzle chime", then the item-getting sound. Then the Great Fairy fountain theme. That's very lovely.

A little hiccup with the second item-get theme.

They're gonna launch a Zelda game for each Nintendo platform. The 3DS shop will have Link's Awakening. The Legend of Zelda OOT 3DS will launch soon. I think sometime next week? It's gonna have Master Quest.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords this fall will be available to everyone FOR FREE to 3DS users. Then this fall, Skyward Sword using WiiMotionPlus.

There will be a golden Wii remote as a promotion when they launch the game. They believe they'll be able to deliver the best Zelda ever.

The Legend of Zelda Symphony concert will be performing in every region this fall and you can get more information about these dates later.

There will be 2 official soundtracks. The OOT soundtrack will be given to people who register OOT on Club Nintendo. The Skyward Sword soundtrack will also be done in the same manner.

They're bringing some of the 200 people who have worked on the series. 3 of them coming out. Aonuma, Tezuka, and others have come out. And they all bow and thank us for supporting LOZ for so long.

Now they're off the stage.

Satoru Iwata is coming out on stage now. He's talking about how the Wii and DS changed "Who plays, how they play and " I think, what they play.

He says that mental barriers still exist in how gaming hardware is perceived. He's about to start talking about the new platform.

He says that the new platform will deliver deeper gameplay experiences and wider appeal to all gamers. Their goal is to deliver a platform that's equally satisfying to everyone. They're gonna present it a little later in the program, though.

You're such a cocktease, Iwata. He's saying a few franchises we know are moving into 3D.

First up, Mario Kart 3DS shows. Then Star Fox 3DS shows up. Next, Super Mario 3DS with the Tanooki Suit, baby! Next, Kid Icarus is finally shown again.

Then Luigi's Mansion 3DS is shown! That's cool.

He says that he hears us. We want something familiar, but new. And they're ready to deliver.

They have all those games mentioned above in 3D and playable on the show floor.

Now they're showing a Mario Kart 3DS trailer. Looks like the same good Mario Kart we've always had. They're only showing brand-new levels. And apparently, you can hang-glide off of jumps for extended distance. It looks like a power-up. You can also trick out your kart and give it different body, wheels, and something else.

Now Reggie is talking about Star Fox 64 3DS. You can either use traditional controls or the actual console as the controller. The game launches this Sept.

Also, the multiplayer has the camera taking pics of your face while you're doing playing. So you get live-time reactions of other players.

Now they're showing the first big trailer for Super Mario 3DS. There's the Tanookie Suit again. And the Koopalings are back! YAY!

Fire Mario is here, of course. The game, to me, almost looks like a mix of Super Mario Galaxy and NSMB Wii. Interesting mix.

The game is coming out before the year is over.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is being shown now. The game is looking better than it was last year. They showed some kind of guy with a big sword and Pit was like wtf are you?

Now you can play against other people in multiplayer, it would seem.

Medusa is still being a b*tch. And Pit is still delightfully corny. Plus the game will come with augmented reality cards. There will be on-foot and air fights.

Luigi's Mansion 2 is being shown. I liked LM1 as it was a good Ghostbusters riff/rip. Luigi is once again hunting ghosts and being scared shitless while doing so.

Looks like a by the numbers sequel, but hey, at least it is a sequel. Oh, nevermind, it's not a simple revision Reggie says. There is gonna be SEVERAL mansions to explore in this one.

He says that the library of games coming to 3DS is going to be amazing.

They have a new web browser. The new system update this week will be able to see game videos. Later, they will feature game demos.

Then they will launch the VC for it as well. It'll feature Game Boy games and such.

Everyone will get 3D Classics: Excitebike for free.

Pokemon Pokedex 3DS is coming. You can receive the rest of the pokemon through StreetPass and other ways. Wow, that's boring.

You can get it through Nintendo eShop. You can get it for free and 3D.

What the hell?

The new console is gonna be called Wii U.

They're showing the controller. Two analog sticks, d-pad, 4 face buttons, and a huge screen in the middle. How weird.

You can switch from the Wii U to the controller at any given time. Wow, that controller has a lot of power in it. There's a front-facing camera on it, too. You can play a lot of games on the controller.

You can also use the controller as an extra screen to view certain things. It looks rather interesting. Wow, it's amazing how much connectivity this has with the main screen and all. The controller is like an extension of the game screen.

You can use two controllers as video conferencing devices. You can take pictures and rotate that sh*t and everything.

The controller is a tablet. Wii U has a 6.2" screen in the controller. It's backward compatible so all Wii stuff will be compatible with it. You can even use Wii U's controller with WiiFit and it'll work with the Balance Board.

L, R, ZL, and ZR buttons are on the top. It's a touchscreen, microphone, accelerometer, speakers and gyroscope are all in the controller.

It's not built to be a portable game system. The games on Wii U are transmitted wirelessly to the controller without any latency issues. So it won't work past x amount of distance.

Now Iwata's gonna show us how the tablet is gonna give us new gameplay opportunities.

They're showing a video that's explaining this. Miyamoto says that there's loads of possibilities. There's a lot of interactions between the controller and the screen.

Iwata says wait for the Iwata Asks interview soon.

OH sh*t.

Smash Bros is coming to 3DS AND Wii U. They will work together in some fashion.
