I have purchased my own copy of Deadly Premonition and am almost caught up to where we were with SK.

EDIT: I have made it into Episode 4 (I believe) and it's starting to heat up. SK... you will love this episode.

I have beaten Deadly Premonition, and honestly, I don't see why it garners hate amongst some people. The controls kinda of suck and are too sensitive a lot of times, but they're not as bad as it sounded (except for driving... it was pretty bad). The plot was pretty good and kept me thinking and guessing. The ending can be good or bad depending on how you view endings and what you consider good or bad. I won't play the game again for a little while, but I intend to go through with completing all achievements in the future.

Wow, since my brother got Dragon Age: Origins ultimate edition, I 've been able to play the DLC content, which it's pretty nice. And I most say that I LOVE Shale. It's just hilarious. I think I'll spend a nice portion of a day just walking back and forth listening to the banter of each possible combination of characters.

Have I said already that I'm slightly obsessed with this series? Probably not enough times. :lol

I'm taking a Dragon Age break. :lol
I'm used used to wreak havoc with a mage and forget about actual companion tactics, but as an archer.. well.. things get ugly for not worrying about what my companions do.
Right now I'm not sure what to play. With Soul Calibur 5 announced, I kind of want to get SC4 for my PSP and give it a go.

Thanks, but at this rate I am finding that hard to believe. I think Lantis and I were still on episode 3 last time we hung out and ... well, I was not a happy camper. I have never pitched a "this game is stupid" fit that intense in my life. And if you mean by my love for episode 4 that my fears of
Emily's purity being compromised just because she's the secondary (female) protagonist
will become reality, then ... my current opinion won't improve much.

In fact, if ever there was a time for me to fear becoming Id once again and not even the angels I protect can stop the reverse transformation from happening to me, then that will be it.

... BUT THEN, after that, I will be taking a shaky step into the 100-level Abyss in Wild Arms: Alter Code F, where 100 headache-inducing mazes and the King of the Monsters himself awaits the Protector of Angels.

Mag ladies, I ... I might not be coming back.

Um, would a light kiss for luck be asking too much?

Disgaia Infinite

What a curious game... Overlord Laharl has been assassinated, and as a punishment, he cuts all the prinnies salaries (How can he do that if he has been assassinated? It take smore than that to kill him!) So a magic clock sends a random prinny's soul to the past so he can possess other characters and avert the assassination.

I was lucky enough to get the worst possible ending in my first 10 minutes!
And I also manage to "save" Laharl once. How many times can he explode anyways? XD

The King of the Beasts is no more! I, Sarah's Knight, protector of Cecylia the Shaman Princess and all of Filgaia, have slain him and banished him back to the Abyss (the permanent one - not the one in Filgaia), forever!

... And that, boys and girls, is that. That's enough freaking WA:Alter Code F for one lifetime. ... On to Radiata Stories.

*Squee!*

So I haven't posted in this thread for a while because I became temporarily mute due to the awfulness of Parasite Eve 3. You know, it's kind of like the times in horror movies when something SO bad happens in front of a chick, that it takes a few moments before she can even scream bloody murder. Yeah... it's like that.

I finished playing Bahamut Lagoon last week. And for a SNES strat RPG, it's pretty fantastic. I touched on it in a previous post, and I can get over pretty much every complaint but the dragon's AI. They do some of the stupidest sh*t... and continue to do it even after it obviously didn't work the first time. But aside from that, amazing RPG. And Princess Yoyo is a slut.

I'm also playing through Mario RPG again... just because it's been a while. And I've made it to Booster's Tower. I am playing it on my phone, and the buttons are pretty slow to react. Up until now, all the games I've been playing are RPGs that don't require timed hits or platforming, and now that I'm doing it... it's pretty damn hard. Timed hits aren't so bad, but once I get to the part of the game were careful jumping is required to proceed... I may be in trouble (you know, like that bridge at the end of the Volcano).

I'm continuing through Pier Solar as well. Not a lot of progress as it's rather grindy, but it's still a very solid RPG. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Disgaea Infinite is horribly short. I finished it on a single day. :(

I was a bit mad at first... I mean... a short DISGAEA game!? But then again, this is a visual novel type of game. It was fun while it lasted.

Dang... I feel like playing Radiata Stories again...

Twenty bucks says SK sides with the fairies (even though they are mostly dudes).

You know what? I'm going to throw in too. I need to order it though, so it'll be a while before I can start. But yeah, this is going to happen.

I already started! I found my old file so I "started strong" as the game implied.
Basically, I started with all my money and consumable items, an accessory that raises gained EXP and another one that allows me to move faster. Since Jack claims to know the basic, I couldn't do the tutorials (I had to check them online, lol)

I WANT TO RECRUIT!!!!

While waiting for Radiata Stories to arrive in the mail, I thought I'd take a quick trip through the little-known earlier work of Atlus called Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, simply because it is even shorter than Chrono Trigger and I haven't been through it since ... probably my first or second year of college.

And, last night I came across the one scene in the game that propels Rhapsody from mediocre to moderately awesome. This is just classic ->

You can so totally tell that this game heavily influenced the Disgaea series.

I have a thing for villains suddenly bursting in a song. In video games I mean.

The demo for DNF is weak but that is just because it is so small. We will see much more on the 14th.

I just bough RAGE and Battlefield3. Preodering either of these with GameStop upgrades you to LE for free. Now I might have to go back and preoder Prey2...

Haven't played anything since beating Crawmerax in Borderlands. Feaus got me IL 2 Stumovik. I need to check that out soon. I would like to be able to get through DNF and Two Worlds II before xmas but we'll just have to wait and see. I have been playing less and less lately and finding myself outside more often. *shudders*

i remember playing rhapsody and felt really girly for playing it. i never could get father without worrying my mom would pop in my room and begin questioning my sexuality.

i just beat assassins creed 2 and really enjoyed the story on this one. the gameplay was still dry and one dimensional. once youve played through the first city the rest is just rehashed. i was trying to get the assassins best gear but was angry at the physics of a wall jump and said screw it. i find achievements arnt as important to me anymore, especially if its too much work.

So Raphsody is not apt for insecure people? If I played Super Princess Peach and also put up with the Gullwings' girly talk in Final Fantasy X-2, this shouldn't be a problem for me. :P

I... kind of stopped playing Radiata Stories.
Somehow I got hooked again on Phantasy Star Portable 2. I made a human hunter, and I'm surprisingly having more fun with him than with my old newman vanguard (that boy was just TOO frail!). I even surpassed him in levels (Currently on level 90)
So yeah... that.
