Now I am no king of fighters or anything so don't expect a lot of skilled kombos from me. I do, however, love this game. Perhaps co-op ladders more than versus.

I'm down. I've already beaten story mode, unlocked half the Krypt, and have made some decent progress in the Tower. I'd like to try to get some of the online only cheevos, but I'm pretty sure it's ranked only. Which is lame. Getting a flawless vicotry, winning without jumping, and throwing ten times in a match is going to be ridiculously difficult achievements.

I've been using mostly Baraka, Scorpion, and Smoke.

Alright, I know that a good four of us have the game now. I think it'd be an awesome evening to beat the crap out of each other in some 2v2 or set up some King of the Hill. I'm going to be fairly free any time, so just let me know when you guys want to throw down.

I'll get the game eventually. I don't know when yet. However, you know I will be getting Deadly Premonition soon. But once I get MK, I will let you know.

Yeah, we are playing KAMOTH (Keep A Magonian On The Hill) right now. We'd have better luck if we had a few more Magonians representing.

That was fun for a while. Then just depressing. To top it off, my xbox just froze. Hopefully it was just that MK9 glitch. It is kind of rare but it freezes up sometimes.

If it is any consolation, mine froze up too.

What I think happened is that the guy on the hill (with his 17 straight victories ¬_¬) FINALLY topped his 1000 respect and quit right as the next match tried to start up. I'm guessing that it caused some major problems and froze everyone in the room. Not the first time that's happened so I believe your Xbox should be fine.

But anyways, I had a pretty good haul of respect as well. I think we are all just a few hundred shy of 1000. I plan to pick that up tonight if nothing comes up. So I'll see you guys there if you are around.

I checked this thread after making breakfast at 6:30. Then went to watch Google IO 2011 on youtube and turns out I was early here by just 120 seconds. I just thought that was funny.

Glad that it wasn't just me and now we know the source of that freeze-up. When I first read about it last week I thought it was a case by case. Sounds like it is just the way they handle their server responses. It just waits for the reply from the host (current king) and forgets to give up if he leaves at just the "right time" From what I have read, freezing is only an issue online. Hopefully a patch will be released for this.

Thought you guys would be interested to know that there were different ideas floating around for the cover of Mortal Kombat. Originally, they had a more appropriate cover which I was able to find. Enjoy.

Alright guys, I think tonight would be a good night to grind some respect. SK's going to be on, so we can have a total of four of us in a room of 8 (6 if you don't include the two currently fighting). SK said he'd be on around 7-ish, so I'll probably appear around the same.

Unfortunately, the only mode we are going to be able to play is King of the Hill as there is still no way to do same-team tag matches. I sorely hope one day they patch that in.
