The RPG Maker Power Hour: Team Mag vs. Team Pav

THE RULES
1. Any and all members from each site that wish to participate in this contest are free to join. However, a member’s team choice is their choice for the duration of the contest.
2. Each team will pick the RPG Maker of their choice to focus their work on.
3. Each site will vote on a Team Leader to organize the project. A Team Leader may delegate any number of positions to other participants to complete. For example, a Team Leader may appoint another member to Map Design Leader or Art Director or any position that a Team Leader sees fit to fill. Members may volunteer for any groups that a Team Leader creates. A Team Leader may request the removal of a member from the team if
a. they break the home forum’s rules,
b. their behavior becomes a detriment to the project’s completion
4. The game created by the team must have a play time of at least 60 minutes. The game’s play time is not to exceed 90 minutes.
5. The deadline for the game submissions is February 25, 2012, 11:59PM EST. The Team Leader of each team will send a copy of the game to Ixzion, Lantis, or Valkysas by this date or the team will forfeit the contest.

THE THEME
The theme of the contest is Death. The path that each team takes is completely up to that team. It is possible to go with a humorous approach or a serious approach. However, the game must have relevance to the theme.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Each forum administrator will create a secret forum for discussion and debate of the various intricacies of each team’s game.

THE ENDGAME
At MagCon 2012, each game will be played in its entirety, recorded, and placed on RPGMM’s Viddler Channel or another video sharing site for public viewing. Each viewer of the videos will be able to make their own decisions about who won the contest. The prize? Bragging Rights!

I want to be part of the story dev team.

I want to do writing.

Depending on the Maker, I'll probably be able to handle programming dungeons/puzzles.

Which maker is the MAG using? I want to help but I only have RPGM3. Maybe there will be another way to help.

I knew this was going to be an issue. I have all 3 but am really only comfortable on RPGM3 and I don't have a way to convert files for RPGM1.

Edit: One thing to consider is the type of game since it is about death. A serious one probably won't work on 1 or 2. It screams for 3. But a comedy is not real good for 3 unless it is very dry and satirical.

This topic is not the place to discuss platform or anything else besides interest in joining the team. That's what the actual hidden forum is for.

Go ahead and add me. Also I'd like to point out to those people talking about platform, no matter what platform it is for, everyone will probably be able to help.

How are we supposed to be interested in helping if we don't even know what maker it's on?

As myoky pointed out, no matter what the platform is, people will be able to help. As I said, I don't know what the platform is going to be. That is to be decided by the team.

If you decide that you don't want to be on the team after finding out which RM the project will be on, feel free to leave the project. No one is putting guns to anyone's head.

Guys, I'd really like to stress how much I want you guys to get in on this. We've made a few decisions like what maker we're using and we are talking about the storyline and plot. I'd really like a bit more input than what we've got right now though.

Even if you aren't going to be hands-on with the actual software, your input and ideas are still greatly wanted and appreciated.

And as a word to those already in, you guys do have permission to make threads of your own.

Hell, I haven't heard anything about the contest over at the pav so I may as well join up here. Sign me up.
