Just completed the mini-game that can be downloaded for Dead Space 2, called Severed. I'm not sure if it was worth the 6-7$ considering how short it is, even for a side story game, but it gives you all of the usual Dead Space mystery and mayhem that you could want. It wasn't even that difficult to get the very first playthrough right off on zealot mode, mostly because you don't start off from scratch, but rather you get 50,000G and a halfway-upgraded pulse rifle that you can salvage ten or so power nodes from.

What I particularly liked was the final battle of the game,
Where you have to fight off a horde of necromorphs while staying alive on your back (your leg is severed, so you can't walk) long enough to shoot a few electrical fuses to open a path for your wife to escape on the ship that you were originally going to board with her. But unfortunately since you become crippled beforehand, you just say "screw it" and make a heroic last stand to at least let her get away.

I Just killed my big dragon too. (Barely)
I'm just glad I was the one who delivered the killing blow. My party members always take the glory away from me. :cry

I'm sure it's to everyone's surprise that I tell you that I just finished Chrono Trigger again. I found a working emulator for my phone, so during my times when I wasn't doing anything, I was pulling out CT and playing it. And I just finished it again. I think I'll play Earthbound as it's been a grip since I've last played it.

Also, Ix and I have recruited all the characters and have been going around grinding a bit to prepare for the Fanatic's tower. After that, there's nothing left but Kefka's Tower. This will be my third time to play FF6 co-op with someone. I really don't understand why they took this feature out in later FF titles. I mean, it's not that big of deal, but it would have been fun.

Finally, I've gotten to the end of Beyond Good and Evil. I'll probably be finishing it tonight. I've gotten all the achievements but the "beat the game" one, but that's 100% going to happen so woot for that. Aside from that, I went out of my way to get 100% of everything in the game. All photos, all PA-1's, all pears, Mdisks, etc. Actually, about the Mdisk thing... this is really freaking cool: When BGaE first came out, there was a website Ubisoft put up. By the time I had discovered the game, that site was no longer working. The thing is you NEED that site to 100% the game. There's a locked area in the game that needs a code. The code isn't anywhere in the game. When you save your game, you will be given a unique internet code... this code can be put in at the site: www.beyondgoodevil.com (originally it was a completely different url www.darkroom.ubi.com which as you can see doesn't work... and hasn't worked for years). Now that it is working again, you can make an account and put in the code in the Dark Room section of the site. Aside from tracking your progress in the game, it let's you play this really interesting mini-game... all the while keeping the 4th wall in tact. It acts like you are an IRIS member in training or something and they ask you to try and hack into one of the Alpha Section computer terminals. It's a little mini-game that's kind of like hang-man. But if you manage to guess the password, IRIS will reward you and send you the password to that locked chest via the email address you gave when you made your account. So the next time you boot up BGaE, you can put that code in and get that Mdisk. Something I've never been able to do till now. I think this is super cool and wish other games would do things like this.

I think I might play Enslaved next. 1ce, I see you online every now and then playing it. Any word on it's awesomeness?

I want my own PS3! :/

I'm on the final battle in Dragon Age Origins... such an epic game! I think this the first game where I feel like I'm the main character taking the decisions instead of making the decisions for the main characters. My brother bought the expansion (Awakenings) but I don't feel ready to jump to it once I beat the game. I want to play the game with a female character and re explore the other team members I didn't use so much, and also to explore other options and choices I can make along the course of the game.

Edit::

A couple of quotes.

Quotes that DO NOT in ANY WAY relate to what you might think they do.

"Y-yes! I'm so excited to feel you come inside me!"

"I wanted to feel you deeper inside me."

"When you dove into me, did you find anything.. weird?"

Sorry for being late on this, but I figured I answer this question.

I went into it expecting a short, fun action game, and that's exactly what I got. It's a beautiful game that's got a lot of excellent scenery and levels to play in. I was a touch disappointed jumping is automated to a degree (you can't really fall unless you're supposed to), so it's a bit linear. I've had a lot of fun with it. I'm on the final chapter, and can't beat it because the game gives you shooting trgets and doesn't allow you to restock what little ammo you have. So, after I get over this little frustration I'll have it finished up.

I've also started Final Fantasy 13, and....color me surprised, I'm really enjoying it. After all the bad stuff I heard about it, I went in expecting the worst, but it's kept me pretty entertained so far. Sure, it's a bummer you can't directly control them, but there's a fair amount of strategy you have to use to beat the game. What a surprise, yay!

Yeah, I got your message, so I've been upgrading my max ammo. Though it's really hard to hold on to those plasma shots. There are too many times were it's just easier to shoot a target from across the area than doing the whole decoy thing all the way there. But yeah, I'm of the exact same opinion as you. It's a good game, and I got it on the cheap online. So I'm getting my money's worth.

Sad thing though is that I was looking to aim at 100% of the achievements, but it associated the 10 other achievements from the $10 DLC that I don't have... an don't really want. So it's kind of killed it for me. I wish M$ would do something about that.

And on the side, I'm playing Earthbound. Just made it to Threed.

After a couple of centuries saying that I would get a PSP.... I finally did!

I have no games yet for it, but I borrowed my brother's copy of Phantasy Star Portable 2. :D
And I'll get Dissidia Duodecim tomorrow.

I'm also playing Dragon Age Awakening, but definitely like Origins more. Once I finish it I'll jump to DA2.

Lantis and I finished Final Fantasy VI. This is the first time I've beaten the game. I've been trying since the game came out in 1994. Or 17 YEARS.

Finally, Final Fantasy VI is on the list of games I've beaten. Thanks Lantis.

it's a 3000 one. :)
I'm a total n00b when it comes to it tho... I don't know what I can do (or can't) with it. So far. I'm happy with PSP2 and Dissidia duodecim. ^_^

Spent my entire spring break playing games.

Managed to beat Dragon Age 2 in like 2 days. It was good, I liked the characters a lot more than DA:O's characters, but the story wasn't as memorable.

I beat Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which was also good, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

I also played and beat both Limbo and Megaman 3 for the first time.

Level 91 in Phantasy Star Portable 2. Really fun game.

But its time may have passed.

God Eater: Burst is out and I am four hours in. I love it so far. Plan to surpass time played in PhSP2 in this game. Shame it is only adhoc. I do know three people that also have this and might play with them but the problem is in the logistics of being in the same place and time. Shame I don't have a PS3 or I could use adhoc party and play online that way...

I put a few more hours into Aphelion on 360. Still a great game.

I almost picked up a new copy of Mod Nation Racers at Walmart for ten bucks. That way I have the game and an unused online code. If I need an iso, I can make my own and that code would still be valid. Better that than purchasing the online rights separately for fifteen dollars. I just need to try it first to be sure I will enjoy it enough to purchase (unlike my numerous unplayed games laying around here)

Well, that may be the case. I just started playing, so the time for me is now. :)
That and soon(er or later) they are going to release the expansion and I refuse to start at levl 1! :lol
I haven't played a Phantasy Star game since PSU, so the technics system threw me off (Just after I made a newman to play as a Force) so I ended up trying the Vanguard class.

I'm also putting some time on Dissidia Duodecim, I played the first one, and I'm glad I didn't spend THAT much timme in it, since Duodecim story mode is an arc featuring the 6 new characters and then the next arc is the original game's story adapted to the new gameplay mechanics.

I also abandoned Awakening. :( I need to go back to it, since I won't play Dragon Age 2 until I finish Awakening. It's just that I liked Origins so much more. I want Zevran and Wynne back! :(

A coworker traded in-game id cards with me for PSP2 as well as Gods Eater Burst.

Turns out that in Gods Eater, once you trade cards with someone, their character will now be an npc party member and is updateable to keep up with the real players stats. Not only that, but the game tracks so much info on how you play that it simulates your playing style for the npc versions of you!

Such a great game guys.

... I just now vanquished Dead Space 2 on hard core mode. And when I say vanquished, I mean vanquished. Somehow ... somehow I got all the way through it without having to retry even once. I am SO done with this game for a while.

I am Sarah's Knight, the protector of Elly, and the warrior whom no necromorph can stand against. :rockon

... Thank you.

And now, to celebrate my victory by playing the only music a Protector like myself can hear in his ears as he performs a cape flourish, silently turns, and coolly walks away from the battlefield of 1200 vanquished necromorphs ->

(Okay, yes, I am not indulging in much humility about this like I should. Sorry.)
