I made the same mistake and didn't get it for PS2. But I recently beat it a few months ago, and BOY was that an awesome game. Even with HORRIBLE waggle controls (You won't really be able to fight with swords once you get them because of it), the game is still amazing. I can promise you'll enjoy it.

Rosaries ftw. I managed to play through most of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow over the past few days, and I liked it. It's not really much of a Castlevania game (but then again, it was meant to reboot the series, and isn't canon with the other games). It does a good job of taking elements from God of War (weapons, combos), Devil May Cry (combos, difficulty), and Shadow of the Colossus (early boss fights, and climbing mechanics), and mashing them together in to a pretty nice experience. some things I was disappointed to learn though, were that Dracula doesn't really appear in the game, and that there is almost no classic Castlevania music present (All I heard when I played the game was a music box rendition of Vampire Killer, which required me to sit and listen to it for a few minutes before I realized what it was)

I was playing it at my cousin's house, and unless I buy the game myself, I won't be able to beat it for a while.

I'm halfway through Donkey Kong Country Returns. Great game, but the waggle is just out of control. Why must I shake the controller to do a damn roll? The result is that I never f*cking roll unless I have to, whereas in the SNES days, I'd bowl over an enemy and keep pimpin.

I beat Donkey Kong Country Returns last night.

This was a great game, definitely. The design, music, and everything come together to make a fantastic time. The waggle for rolling prevented me from relying on the roll for about 99% of the game, though. I would just jump instead. And forget the roll-off-the-cliff-then-jump maneuver in most cases.

The bosses can mainly go to hell. This is a tough game.

I still have levels to unlock and all.

I just beat Act 5 with Momohime and I'm currently in Act 6 with both characters. Is it me, or Momohime's story is harder than Kisuke? I haven't had to heal so much in boss fights or ene,y lairs with him, while I barely have recovery items with Momohime. :/

Actually, I ended up settling on a rosary weapon as main and a sword as sub. With a sword as sub, you get a lot of DMC moves like stinger and hightide. It made for some interesting combat. Though I used the shotgun blast type rosary as a secondary for a while before I found out how useful swords are as secondary with no waggle.

I've been putting a lot of time into Prey. And I actually rather like it. It's got a very Half Life feel to it, and that's awesome. Traditional shooters like Modern Warefare, Metal of Honor, Battlefield, Halo, etc do not interest me in the least, but a pure and interesting single player campaign like this is where it's at. Also, I'm still busting out Borderlands with the guys. It's been our fallback game for a while now... and I've always enjoyed playing it. I'll probably be playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood before too long. I loved AC2, so I've got high hopes for this one.

I finished Muramasa a few days ago, with all blades, and saw all 3 endings for each character, AND unlocked the harder difficulty. (Which is not hard to unlock if you switch the difficulty just before the last boss and have the Oboro Muramasa and the accessory that prevents soul power drop)

I finally started playing Okami. Wow. I'm impressed, and I don't only mean visually. I'm enjoying every minute of it.
Swords are hard to use on Wii because of waggle? I can't even do consistently the 4 hit reflector attack! Thank goodness for rosaries.
My biggest complain is that on certain parts where you need to assist somebody with the celestial brush, and you mess up, you can't speed up the dialog and have to read it all over agin. (And then Issun decides to intervene and explain what I need to do, further lengthening my pain) My sensor bar is wireless, and my batteries were dying, meaning the the pointer jumped constantly between to places. Trying to make around 6 or 7 circles in a row for Mr Orange's dance ritual became horribly painful. :/

That's one of several reasons I highly suggest people avoid the Wii version and get it on PS2.

As for myself, I finished Prey. Though it was pretty good for a FPS. I also went back to Donkey Kong Country Returns and unlocked all the secret levels in each world and finally found out what was in the hidden golden temple.
It was another level! But what's funny about it, is when DK entered the temple... he found a giant gold banana... he peeled the skin away to find glowing yellow goop of some sorts in it. Eating it transports him to this really messed up level that's made up of food. For this reason, I believe he's just trippin' hard core. But if you beat the level, you unlock mirror mode. You can play the entire game mirrored. And going from right to left feels really weird. Also, it's kind of a hard mode because you can no longer have Diddy and you only have one hit before you die instead of two... and no inventory items can be used. I passed content with the fact that I beat that damn food level... and being the last level of the game.

Yesterday, I started playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. At first I was a little bummed because of all the hype built around it's online mode. I thought that there would be no story at all. BOY WAS I WRONG! It picks up right where 2 left off and keeps going. And the story is fantastic. I had a hard time putting it down last night. But once I did, I thought how impressive Ubisoft has gotten seeing as Assassin's Creed 1 wasn't all that good.

Oh, and I beat the single player campaign in Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch. It was hard as nails, but I've done it. And I feel really proud to have managed it too. This game is probably the best FINISHED fan made game I've ever played.

Borderlands again

I finally started playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
Took me only two years to start! Really liking it so far.

I have been really tempted to start Rogue Galaxy :/

I really like how Borderlands is just kind of popping back up every now and then. It's a great come-back-to game.

I haven't really been doing much gaming lately though. I've been playing Vakyria Chronicles. And it's an amazing game that is absolutely mandatory for all PS3 owners. I honestly can't get enough of it. And I rue how close to the end I am... I RUE IT!

That and I'm playing Borderlands.

Beat Okami. :D
Great game. BTW, I got used to the timing of the swords, so the rosaries kind of took a back seat

Currently playing Another Marona mode in Phantom Brave: We Meet Again.

Trying to play the SNES version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, but damn is it hard. I thought the Fire Emblem games were hard strategy games, but in this, if you are even one level lower than the enemy you are fighting, you can pretty much guarantee that you will die a horrible death, and never come back...

Otherwise, it is very good, and has great music and gameplay. Haven't really gotten far enough to really start the story though. Also, I was surprised to learn the the guy who made the game went on to create Final Fantasy Tactics, probably why the two games look almost identical. Also, I think a remake comes out in like February for the PSP.

... You had that problem, too? That was the main reason I thought Tactics Ogre sucked.

I think I am going to play through Wild Arms: Alter Code F again, now, and try to beat all of the optional golem fights this time around.

EDIT: But before I do that, I have one last task in Wild Arms 5. I am currently on a literally hours-long quest to find every single treasure chest in the game, in order to be able to open the Black Box (362nd chest). Because I have already found that the "official" (read: sucky) player's guide has failed to mention where every one is, I am having to use an Internet walkthrough as a supplement, which seems to have every one listed. I am now pouring back over all of Filgaia with a fine tooth comb, as I'll be damned if I can tell which chests I have yet to find and open, ... but so help me, I am GOING to finish what I have started. I defeated every optional boss in the game, so SK is definitely not going to let a bunch of stupid treasure chests defeat him.

SECOND EDIT: .... I DID IT! I DID IT! Cram it, Wild Arms! It may have taken me literally all night to find all of the missing chests, but I just made you my <expletive>!

(I am probably never going to play through this game again as long as I live. Wild Arms 5 took me an entire two months - playing almost nothing else video-game-related at all - to master. That's enough for a very, very long time.)

... Sorry, but I have to consecutively post for this one. Because I am feeling quite proud right now, if I can feel proud for a not-trying-to-be-a-dick reason.

Never before have I managed to give such an awesome display of my Protecting prowess as I have just now in Bioshock.
At that last part where you have to protect a Little Sister as she guides you to the final boss, I just managed to keep the same one safe the entire way, that is, through three hordes of Splicers. I have done this once on easy mode, now I have done it on medium. .... Oh yeah, SK's going all the way on this one. One day, I shall accomplish this personally grandiose feat (in my mind, anyway, considering I live for this kind of thing and all) on the hardest difficulty level.

.... Once I have done that, I will have at last achieved true status as a Protector of the Angels. On my honor as a knight, I will see this day happen. *holds up the Northern Longblade in a knightly salute*

Once again, may I make this crystal clear just who I am ->

You do realize that "angels" have a much different meaning in Bioshock, right?

I'm still playing Valkyria Chronicles. I haven't been able to put as much time into it as I would like, but it's still a fantastic game. I just found out there's a sequel on PSP, so I'm absolutely getting that. Though, I have started a new game. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for DS. It's been out for a while and this should have been a day 1 title for me. Golden Sun 1 and 2 on GBA were amazing RPGs. And from what I've played thus far, I'm sure I'll be in for a good time. Issac and Garet are at the beginning and you are actually playing as their children. This takes place 30 years after what happened in the previous games, so they are well aged by now. Really looking forward to this.

ShadowFox let me borrow his copy of Eternal Sonata and I've been playing that with the wife. And the game is pretty fantastic. And playing multi-player has been fun as well.

Also, a good long time ago a group of people made a romhack of Chrono Trigger. They were making Chrono Trigger 2. And they had put much more effort into this than I though could be done with a romhack. Well, they got a C&D letter, of course. But they were all like "F that noise" and they still made it. And it was leaked the other day. It's about 98% complete in beta... so it's not all the way finished, but it's still a full game. I can't wait to dig into this.

I've just been dancing like a madman with DDR. I can do most 6 and 7 footers on standard now. I just need to keep at it to get better. And maybe lose some weight. Bigger folks have a disadvantage with this game.

I am, thank you very much. Not that you didn't already very well know that I was referring to the girls themselves (and not the Adam-infused corpses they gather at) and what they no doubt grew up to become later in life because someone like myself had the tiny modicum of kindness required to give them the chance at life that they deserved.

Hater.

I finished another Marona Mode, and I'm currently going to the Main Story Line. Being able to carry over my first playthrough has helped speed up things a little bit (and have fun using other low level characters with higher level equipment)
