Just finished downloading it and am kind of itching to get in some action. But I want to wait for you guys so we can all kind of experience it at the same time. Unfortunately there's no where to really kill time and grind since we're all such a high level. I'm half way tempted to start a new character just to go and try to get the achievement for completing the Armory seeing as that's screwed permanently for my current character.

Monday night is good for me.

Last night we blew through Playthrough 2 like madmen. We'd collect all the missions possible and then separately complete three at one time in a same map. It was rather impressive. In a short time, we managed every last mission in the first area. Arid Badlands?

My brother got the game. Bad news is that I moved a month ago and I no longer live with him (there's a chance I might have to move BACK, tho)
Anyway, I sucked horribly at my initial attempt (trying to kill the bandits at the very start of the game. I'm not sure if I want to try again.

Get a PS3 and then you can play with everyone. I heard it was now multi-platform so now we can play across XBox and PS3.

@ Syn - lol, I keep forgetting that a single person made this a multiplatforming game and not Gearbox.

Just because I like documenting things that happen during our sessions, this needs to be said. Since the Underdome DLC, we had tried to master the battle arena. It has been very difficult as you have to go through 20 rounds of 5 waves of enemies... all the while getting Final Fantasy VII Gold Saucer battle arena slots that either hurt or help you. We has never gotten past 10. So we said screw it, and Insult got his level 61 hunter. I hosted, and now all the enemies are quite under his level (they were 52?). I'm sitting at 51, so I'm not too bad off.

So here we go again. Around round 10, Ix joins in to help us out a bit. But by this time, the rounds are taking a good deal to accomplish. Each round, all the enemies get buffs to health, shield, and damage they do. So by round 19 (this is four and a half hours later, mind you), even Insult's level 61 Hunter was taking a pretty good beating. And then it happened...

We lost.

4½ hours down the drain. And the only thing we have to show for it is the giant mountain of money that we'll never ever spend on anything. But it's cool. We're going to jew the crap out of the system. I have a level 6 character in the Underdome. All the enemies will be level 12 with Insult in the game. This should be a cake walk.

Not saying that 12 out of 80 kills is that much better, but when you have someone ten levels higher than you, KS-ing is going to be an issue. Insult at 67.

Put some prince on!

Well, no one jumped in with me so I solo-ed RoboRev to the completion. All missions are done. I only now have to kill a bunch of claptraps for their random drops for the last three achievements. I also went through the Armory on playthrough1 and am one mission away from Its Like Christmas. I have indeed found a way to fix that for you guys with my save without ruining my chances to finish it (I hope) but there's still a slight chance it won't work and will ruin my 100+ hour save...

oh and that's all with my hunter.

Get on tomorrow if you can and we will fix that last mission.

As much as I would have liked to get on, I had company all day... and will continue to have it till Tuesday. So is it alright if we wait till then to do it?

Okay. I guess I can work on my other characters...

My Hunter has done every mission possible in the disc and all dlc except for "Its Like Christmas" and "You.Will.Die." for both playthrough 1 and 2.

I also beat The Gully 20 round stage with Faeus today too. Might do the next one with him tomorrow.

Ahh. back. So there is a small issue that might be defined as a "loose end" See, Lantis and I spared back and forth in PM's (well, it was more him being accusatory and me telling him to STFU, but I won't go in to details...) Anyway, What came about was that, through a certain...posit on his part, I said I would go get an x-box network adapter. I had my reasons. I can't go into them because of the confidential nature of the PM, however, suffice it to say, my motivation for making this seemingly hypocritical decision was in fact a fair bit of indignation, and a light sprinkling of anger. I'd ask Lantis to take back what he said but A) I think he's gonna stick by what was said, and B) that would be playing into his hand.

The result of all this was that I went to my local Gamestop ("local" being a relative word, it's an hour away) and started to look for a used X-box Network adapter...No dice.
So I asked the guy behind the counter where he kept them and he pointed behind him. "Odd", I thought, "$30 network adapter...behind the counter? O-kayyy..." So I ask him how much those things go for anyway.

There is a GOOD reason they are behind the counter. A reason that makes me even MORE pissed off at Microsoft.

An X-Box 360 network adapter, used to convert a system that has no connectivity, costs $99.99!

So, um, NO. I thought X-box live plus the DLC was gonna be the deal breaker, but hell no, that's pocket change compared to actually getting the thing to connect! I mean, DAMN my ROUTER only cost 70 bucks, (true it was bought on a black Friday sale, BUT STILL!) C'MON!!!

Staffy, the 'N' adapter is $99 and the older b/g model has been dropped to under $50 at most places, less used on ebay. Be happy you didn't pay $99 on the b/g like I did when it was new. It is just too slow for LIVE. You may want to just run your own network cable to the router. It would be cheaper to make your own cable that is as long as you need. Mine is 30' from the office to the living room. Alternatively, if you are borrowing wifi from a kind neighbor, you may want to wait until your current model dies (it will, I went through three in four years) and get the slim model which has built in wifi-n.
