But a good night, I must say. I was once again graced with the company of Miss Mary Christine as my IHOP waitress earlier this evening. Although it was a long shot, simply because today is exactly four Wednesdays into the future from my previous and first meeting with this well-mannered, delightful girl, I had hoped that I would somehow end up with her as my waitress again. ... And it seems my hopes were not ill-placed. I was flattered to find that she, too, had remembered me even after an entire four weeks had passed, ... because apparently not nearly as many of her male customers make any attempt to talk formally and sweetly to her as I would normally have guessed.

Ah, the life of a Protector. Doomed to have all romantic inclinations towards a particular lady immediately dashed all throughout his youth, ... yet graced with the pleasant company of many delightful female companions along the road in the non-romantic sense.

Guys, I have a question.

Is <3 supposed to mean something? I have a feeling it is just more Internet-speak for something I really don't want to know, but it has become one of those things I just have to know now regardless of the possible consequences.

It's HTML for less-than. Or at least &lt; is. All special characters have a value in HTML... So what it is really saying is <3 ... which is emoticon for a sideways heart. So if someone is saying 'I &lt;3 blank', they are saying they love blank.
