I've been debating whether to mention this now or later, but:



I stumbled on it quite a ways back when doing a search on YouTube for "Mario RPG Hack". At first I only found a "Hard Mode" game where enemies simply had double HP and double attack power, but I also stumbled upon a video of a "Very Hard Mode", depicting Mack with an electric counter-attack. That turned out to be Super Mario RPG Revolution.

Essentially, it's Super Mario RPG on steroids. The difficulty of the battles have been ramped up, to the point that some enemies have very different strategies, and the level cap has been extended Level 50.

I'd recommend waiting before trying it out. WaddlerD is currently putting the finishing touches on what's supposed to be the final version of the game (V4.0). And the new version will have a few important changes, to my understanding.

Reason I decided to bring it up now is because Lantis had mentioned in his LP of Chrono Cross how I loved Mario RPG, but was burnt out 'cause I no longer felt challenge from it. This version will undoubtedly make it fun for me again. I'm debating whether to LP this or not. But I won't call dibbs on it, if anybody else wants to tackle it. I know you said you wanted to LP Mario RPG, Lantis. (Besides, I've already had dibbs on Paper Mario for a year, now. )

I don't know when V4.0 will release, but I don't plan on doing anything until then.

I'm fairly sure you are the most appropriate person to LP this... seeing your history with it and such. And I'd be more interested in seeing a hack run more than me running through it normally. So by alll means, if you want to LP this when it comes out, please do. It'll be awesome.

I'm really interested in seeing bosses and enemies casting spells they aren't supposed to and such. And what's really interesting is that SK is about to LP a hard hack for Final Fantasy VII.
