I finally have my own copy of Borderlands. Until now, I was playing Faeus's and that meant online without him (one player online per console) or co-op with him on split screen.

Now he and I can both play online at the same time. He demands I pressure you all to see if we can find some good people to play with.
*applies pressure*

(or if anyone wants to grind multiplayer Prey, I will be online tonight/tomorrow for whatever)

You know, I was just talking to the guys the other night about how we really need a new game to play online as L4D1/2 is getting a little stale. I'll take you up on your offer, sir. I'll get borderlands the next time I'm in Walmart or something (which should be before the weeks end).

::edit::

Never mind, I ended up ordering it online for like 22 bucks (including shipping). So woot for that.

I think this'll be a great game to start getting us back online and hanging out again.

I've now been sufficiently pressured to buy Borderlands. It's in my hands now.

New DLC is out today. All in all there's about 4.5GB of DLC!
I'm getting it tonight. I don't expect you guys to since I am certain it is endgame only. In fact, I wouldn't read the description for it until you beat it just to keep it good to the end. No major spoilers in it but still...

Also this just in!
Borderlands: GOTY

Comes with a second disc with all current DLC and a redemption code for the one released today. Wish I knew that a couple weeks ago. I would have this instead of my copy lol.

My copy is only two hours from here. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow.

Well, I have had all the DLC on my system for a while, but seeing as I switch systems so often, it sucks that I don't own the rights to the DLC. To help remedy that I just picked up the addon disc that has the first two packs. I also purchased the newest DLC with my account so no matter what I will own the rights to that as well. That just leaves the Armory. While I have it on my current system, I don't own the rights. If I decide to play on the Slim I plan on getting this year, I won't be able to unless Faeus does a license transfer to it for me. I will likely just buy it myself just to avoid any hiccups.

Anyway, Lantis and I played a while and got our butts whooped. Then Ix joined and all was well. Had a good time playing. Looking forward to next time. It has been a long time since I played with any one from the mag. Or at all as far as non-psp goes lol.

Yeah, we got pretty far considering how late in the evening (at least for Ix and I) it was. But yeah, I had a blast. I look forward to playing some more. But we could really use a fourth... *glares at SK and/or Syn*

I'm going to be on for a few hours (I'm in game right now) if you want to get some levels or something.

Insult and I tore through some of the missions tonight.

Lantis was mysteriously MIA.

I'm a L19 Soldier now, though. :D

I had company, and still do actually. I really really wanted to get on tonight, but I HAVE to be a good host. Though I'm free all day tomorrow. Is it possible to pick up some time after lunch tomorrow?

I'll probably be on.

I soloed with my soldier up to the point Ix and I are now at with his soldier and my siren. I must have been lucky on some of the drops for my soldier because I tore through the ring of death at level 17. To kill Moe and Marley, I had them chase me, one at a time to the bandit hideout by Sledge's Safehouse and they distracted them while I sent sniper rounds down their throats! Now I am level nineteen with my soldier and twenty on my siren.

So, I got the DLC disc in the mail today and I got it all installed and tomorrow will be on it's way to VA. So I'll be on the Wii tonight just messing around with a game a friend lent me. Though if you guys want to jump in, I'd be very willing to jump in to Borderlands instead. SK also mentioned maybe playing some L4D or whatever. Just whatever you guys want.

Last night, Ix, Lantis, and I played for a solid four hours. I actually think we may have passed the halfway mark in the game!

damned xbox people and your blasted uncompatibility with the trusty pc. :(

over here on steam i'm also loving Borderlands, got a little group together and we're at roughly the same point as you, with occasional diversions to Jacob's Cove.

hunter ftw =D

I was originally playing hunter, but eventually switched to berserker. But just the few levels I played with hunter and I can't help but still use a sniper rifle with Brick. Proficiency is at level 10 with 'em actually.

lawl, sniper brick? so what, you nail a few with the rifle, then run headlong across the deadzone in order to pop berserk? =p

hunters are great. the bird is kinda lame as superduperpowers go, but some of his talents, notably those buffing hit rate, shield avoidance, reload speed, are very handy.

... one of the best things about borderlands, imo, is the way the character will make comments that pretty much exactly echo my own thoughts at the time. each character class seems to have a few really appropriate quotes.

in the hunter's case, i can't help but smile when i've asploded someone's head into a raining soupy mess and my character mutters "Boom! Heheheheheh..."

Get out of my xbox, you sorcerer!

Actually, it's all just conditional to whatever's going on. Brick doesn't naturally have any good long range weaponry, so I'm usually running sniper until we get close in on something. Then it's either rockets, shotgun, or pistol depending on what's going down. But generally, ANY of the four characters should use a sniper just on principle.

What's also fun is using berserk while we are just walking from one place to another and the guys think we're being attacked by someone screaming bloody murder.

i guess i can agree with that; it's the time-honoured 'awp + d'eagle = full coverage' principle.

also lol at you crying wolf: one day you're gonna get your party eaten by psychos:

'oh, that's just ja-AUGHOHMYGODWHATISTHISNUUuu*snap**deathrattle*...*chewing noises*...*sadness*'

tbh i haven't really played brick much... i kind of started it but had difficulty adapting to close-range combat. i generally prefer to save the whole experience of getting shot in the face/eaten by skags for someone else =p

I actually find it very satisfying to just run out there and take out a good number of bandits and a bruiser or two after being tucked away behind a chest high wall for far longer than need be. I have level 2 explosion allocated to berserk right now and it's doing wonders. Even if I go down, second wind really isn't too difficult because most the time due to having pummeled someones HP down to near nothing before falling. This is made even more fun when two of the people you are playing with are soldiers and have a constant stream of bullets on you, healing the whole time.
