I'm...not at all excited.

I think the lack of hype for all...er, most of us is due to how it's switching genres on us. When I think of Lufia, I think of this:

I'm most interested in it because according to most of the people who I know who have played the game, they say that the new story is actually better than the original story.

I saw that brief interview the Irate Gamer did last night and immediately noticed the obvious removal of the classic turn-based RPG style that we all know from the old Lufia games, but I still like to think this game is going to prove awesome, anyway. I'll be in line for it.

Well, you'll have to let me know how it is because if it's just re-telling Lufia 2, then I really don't see the point.

Wow, I haven't heard that question asked in a long time. Used to be that a big deciding factor in whether a game was worth playing or not was how long the game was. Remember when just about every RPG boasted X amount of hours on the box? And the numbers just kept getting bigger.

Yeah, but in today's games... whatever number the developer gives you, you cut that by half and you got how long it'll take you to do everything.

So apparently this has been out for a little while. I'm a little shocked you haven't posted anything myoky. What did you think of it? Do you own it?

Actually, I am rather surprised Myoky didn't just import it... and played the game three times over before it even came to the US.

I would buy it, but I don't have any money, and there are other games I want to get as well.

What I've heard about it at this point is somewhat good, somewhat bad. I expected the game to play similarly to like the newer Final fantasy Crystal Chronicles games, which I believe to have the worst dungeon and puzzle design I have seen in quite a long time. From what I've heard however, the puzzles are pretty much similar to Lufia 2, and not just "kill monsters, pick up crate, open door."

I've heard a few problems about the camera in some instances, mainly from the Famitsu review of the game, which gave it a 30/40. I've also heard that some plot points from the original Lufia 2 are more rushed in this game, such as the wedding which seems more sudden than it did before.

Some people don't like the altered ending of the game, but that is just personal taste I guess.

If I had the time or money to play it, I would tell you guys what I think of it.
