I do think that Lupe Fiasco is top-tier, too. But since Em and Lupe are like apples and oranges, they are two of the absolute best in the game.



Yeah, Encore wasn't too hot, but Relapse showed he was getting his act together. The new hotness is Recovery.

Relapse was the weakest album Eminem has ever made. He will have trouble, even in his admirable new state of Can't Do Anything Right, making Recovery top it.

I disagree, NLY. I think Encore was his weakest effort, so far.

I purchased the album last night for only 12 bucks.

I am very proud to assist Shady in going platinum in just two weeks time.

Sad that rap sells faster than any rock band. Megadeth's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying album hit 2mil+ sales in the 2000s... but Eminem and Drake and in one week combined can sell over 1 million. How sad that it's like this. Classic, great artists getting sales records beat by those with far less talent. Eminem is not what he once was, though still one of the best rappers out there, but give me a break...

Metal is a deliberately marginal genre, and metal likes it that way. I'm not sure how it's 'sad' that a bunch of people who essentially chose to do things because they weren't going to be popular weren't more popular than people who meet the current demands of the populace just as deliberately as the metalheads refused to.



Also, Bon, out of morbid curiosity, have you enjoyed this album you've purchased?

NLY: very much so. There are a few tracks I may skip over, but that's just due to preference.

did think encore was weak though, like making an album cus he didn't know how to stop but coudln't really think of much more to sing about. and i totally missed relapse to be honest. just didn't buy into that whole phase of it but i like what ive heard so far so i'll try and find some clips online like and see but thinking prolly buy it. still think he's super awesome.
