This game is being done by ONE man (sans music), who took a break from the full-length animated movie he's been working on for much of the last decade (by himself, of course) to make this game.

It's so...awesome-looking.

Oh wow! I think its safe to say, I will be getting this game.

One man and only XNA. I am absolutely amazed at how great this looks. And it's very DMC. I like DMC. Actually, I can pick out a few moves that are copy and paste from Devil May Cry 3.

Not only does the game look beautiful, that music gave me chills.

It's An Elysian Tail. TAIL. Had you spelled it right, I so would've noticed this sooner.

Of course. It's a game about a body part of animals.... not a story. That would be silly.

So, after two years with nary a word, guess what's releasing on XBLA for the Summer of Arcade specials...

August 15 and Dust will be available for purchase. I'm really hyped about this as this as been one of my most anticipated XBLA releases ever. I'm just a little sad that it has so little coverage. This game is going to rock.

I saw the trailer and WOW. It looks great. Looks like one of the best XBLA titles there has been in forever. Loving the music and graphics.

And it comes out today. I can't wait to go home for lunch and give it a spin.

Holy crap, look at this trailer.

Trailer looks increds. I need to grab it after beating Dead Space 2.

Yeah, I already bought it. But I'm trying my best not to touch it till I beat Darksiders 2. The game looks so sick.

Okay, I couldn't wait. I played about half an hours worth during my lunch break. And it seems every bit as awesome as I thought it would be. The graphics and cut scenes look beautiful. And it turns out that everything was hand drawn for this game. And it shows. The dynamics between the three characters (Dust, Fidget, and Ahrah) is wrote wonderfully and has me interested where this will be going. There was this one point early on when you ran into a merchant, and he was explaining that if you bring him an ore that he doesn't have in stock, he'll pay extra for the first one and then have them stocked for you to buy freely. Fidget then said in a gruff voice "So you... Buy it at a high price" and the merchant was like, "Well, um, yeah actually." RE4 reference! I lol'd.

Anyways, I only played the tutorial area. And the basics of combat are awesome. Though the combos that switch to heavy attacks have a really short time in which they can be executed. I guess I'm used to DMC and Darksiders which some combos actually require a pause in the middle of the attack. But on top of combos, your sword can control and create wind. You can have Fidget do a very low damage homing attack. But if you have her do it and you manage to catch it in your wind attack, it multiplies it's projectile count and damage significantly. So balancing your combos, Fidget's homing attack, and wind control make this really deep and really fun.
