Lantis: get the plat trophy. Or at least five star all the missions. That's the only thing in the game that takes any skill.

Played and finished both Eternal Sonata and Rogue Galaxy lately. I very much enjoyed the former, the latter, not so much. It started out great but really lost it at the end.

So the new RPG I'm playing is the first Baten Kaitos. It was recommended to me by my friend's uncle who saw ES and recommended it. The card system gameplay is really fun, even if the story kinda sucks. I've also got the sequel already purchased when this one is done. Can't wait to keep playing it.

My PSP has been getting a lot of love recently. Proof is that this entire post contains only items for PSP. This post doesn't even include the awesome apps I use whenever I turn it on.

Currently, I have been playing a few old GB/GBC and GBA games on my PSP. In the past, I have only played Pokemon Red, back in grade school, so keep in mind it has been a while. Here we are, a decade later, and I still haven't played any others. With HG/SS out, I started to reminisce about it. I started out playing Red using RIN GB/GBC and the game just felt too old and I couldn't take the 4-bit audio. Now, I am playing FireRed using gpSP and I really enjoy all the improvements. It even emulates the GBA Wireless Adapter using the PSP's wireless! I might steal my gf's DS long enough to give HG/SS a go. Not likely but maybe. After this, I am thinking about playing Sapphire/Ruby on my PSP but go back and forth with the PC side to trade/battle with friends using VBA-Link. The saves are EASILY swapped back and forth so I won't have to play in front of my PC the entire time.

I have also been making my own eboots of PS1 games and enjoying those. I am in the Eternal Corridor in Jade Cocoon. Just got there in fact, so I will need to do some serious leveling to get deeper. Shame the two player battles aren't more worth while.

I am at the halfway mark or so with Breath of Fire IV. I stopped playing this a week ago when I picked up FireRed. I intend to finish it this time.

In Legend of Dragoon, I am just inside the prison on my way out. I am really hoping that the eboot I made that has all four discs in one file will work out when I need to go to the next disc.

I got a working Doom I&II and Final Doom for my PSP. I plan to use this for MegaMan 8-bit DeathMatch WAD.

I lost the .txt I had that listed the games in the order I was going to play them. It was on my phone's internal memory and I had to reset it. So, I decided to just stick to a short list of five games on 360 (including arcade and indie titles) and then some PSP stuff. I have been busy with the PSP stuff for two months now.

Lastly, I am preparing for my second play through of Star Ocean: First Departure. In between the above games, I look through the strategy guide and make notes on what events I need to take special interest in, in order to get the party members I missed my first time playing. There's a whole lot to do in SO:FD. I look forward to it.

If anyone here has a PSP, there's no reason not to use it as an emulation powerhouse. Especially for PS1 and older. Those games in today's world just fit the handheld so well it just makes sense. You can even output the video on 2000 models and newer in composite, vga, dvi and s-video!

I've been playing Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. And the other night I made it to the first real boss of the game. It's right after you get Jean. Also, Lucia is being ran by AI, so I have absolutely no control over what she does in battle. And 95% of the time, she defends or casts a def buff on herself (and ONLY on herslef... selfish b*tch). Anyway, so I was fighting this giant plant monster, and this is the result at the end of the fight.

Image

The A.I. that hardly EVER attacks got the killing blow... with only 5 HP to spare. I was absolutely astounded.

Btw, I second Insultobot's opinion of the PSP... it is made of win.

Now I'm playing Dragon's Lair on my DVD player. It's a frigid hard game, but loads of fun. I should pick up the blu-ray version, which I hear is much better.

Started working on Disgaea 3 to burn time during my break between semesters.

Beat the main story last night at level 82, and am now creeping up on level 3000 on a few characters. My head hurts.

Edit:: 3 legendary testaments with 8 level 300 statisticians each, multiple characters 9999. Working on unlocking the land of carnage.

Edit2:: May the Land of Carnage begin. I somehow got exceedingly lucky and pulled off 21 illegal tickets in one run from 1-100 of an item world. >_>

I've:

Played and beaten Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the first time, clocking in at around 15 hours. I'd dabbled a bit in it before, but I really buckled down and got into it this time. I have to say, it's a pretty good game. I can understand now why so many of the games are in this style. But I'm still a bigger fan of the traditional ones. But I may have to give some of the others a chance now.

Started Final Fantasy Tactics.

... Fine. Just be sure to treat Agrias with respect.

If you EVER let the dear woman perish in battle, I will hunt you down. THIS I SWEAR.

But as for me, I am about to confront crazy religious Orgulla in Xenosaga Episode II.

... Crazy cow of a woman. She uses one of the biggest dick moves in RPG boss history: shooting you directly in the face with a shotgun, followed by stabbing you in the neck with a cutlass.

I got some of my old vidya games from my now deceased grandmother (:(). Included in the stash were Legend of Legaia (Which I'm playing now, almost done, though the game sucks big time). Suikoden (I never did play the first Suikoden, but I beat the second one and loved it). And also Tales of Destiny 2 (The PS1 one, that has no connection to Tales of Destiny 1).

After I beat Legend of legaia, I'm going to play Suikoden, and then Tales of Destiny 2.

I actually enjoyed LoL's gimmick. Hear a lot of people hating on it, but I always enjoyed that one. :(

In other news, gonna head out in a couple hours to pick up 3d dots game heroes.

I beat Batman: Arkham Asylum for the first time last night. I was never a big DC fan, so Batman wasn't really on my radar. But a friend insisted and lent me his copy. That game was pretty bad ass.

Also, said friend came over last night and we had a pretty awesome eventing. We ended up ordering pizza and played Sonic CD all evening. We didn't get the good ending, but we did beat it. It was fun playing the last good Sonic game.

And off and on, I find myself playing Super Mario Bros. Crossover. I've beaten the game with every character but Simon. I just can't stand his jumping. It reminds me way too much of Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero... a game who was known for being ungodly difficult.

I'll be starting Tales of Vesperia as soon as I get a hold of a copy of the game.

Ix and I played Battlefield 1943 for a couple hours last night. Faeus joined in too halfway through and he and I kept it going until 2am. Worked on getting some of the awards I was missing and ranked up to 30.

I'm gonna be playing that again today.

Also yesterday we played some Left 4 Dead 1, Perfect Dark, and some Marvel Vs Capcom 2. It's been quite a while since we've hit up xbox live like that. Good times were had by all.

I am really looking forward to playing that as well. I have such a large backlog of games I want to play first though. I still haven't played Tales of Vesperia or Heavy Rain. And SMG2 is coming out in a week. What's a gamer to do?

I was told to give BioWare's Sonic RPG a try on the DS. And I did... and I regret it. I made it to the end of chapter 2 of the game and had to put it down. I don't even know where to begin on why this game is as bad as it is. Battle would have been fine, even with Elite Beat Agent copied and pasted into the battle system. But I just couldn't get over how the rate of hit or miss was determined on your base attack stat. If it wasn't high enough, it would just plain miss. Because of this, anytime anyone would level up, I'd dump every single bonus point into attack. And you know what? There were STILL fights were I'd waste an ENTIRE turn missing the enemy... and what's worse, your characters attack multiple times in one turn (how many times is based on their speed stat). And you can get around this by using special attacks... but character's MP is so freaking low, you can only use a single special attack twice in one fight before they are out... and that's not enough to take out anything. So f*ck that game, I'm not dealing with that any longer. It was also littered with Sonic Friends. You know, characters I'd put on my, "Protagonists I'd like to kill even worse than Navi" list.

I need to get Tales of Vesperia, Heavy Rain, Borderlands, and soon... Mario Galaxy 2.

I might be able to get you ToV for cheap. My friend has three copies. I will talk to him today.

I have gotten all but 11 or 13 stamps/postcards in Battlefield1943. In LoD, Shana just got sick from the poisoned air forest. In Pkmn Fire Red, I am about to awaken Snorlax.
