I had a Saitek Eclipse for about 2 years now, which was a pretty nice back lit keyboard. It matched my case perfectly since it was black with blue black lighting. Unfortunately it JUST gave out. I'm now using a crappy standard Dell USB keyboard, and I'm none to happy with it. I've looked around and apparently back light keyboards are the new thing because they are quite expensive. And, in fact, the same one I had is now 3 times the price I once paid for it.

(I didn't ever use that crappy wrist support thing.)


So now I need a new one. And I was curious what you guys use. I was kind of thinking of getting an unmarked keyboard for some nerd points: http://www.venturaes.com/index_new.asp? ... index.html But that's also horribly expensive.

So what kind of keyboards to you use?

A nice, compact Mac keyboard. NYAHAHAHAHA!

I am using an inexpensive Logitech S 510. It does the job. Not backlit though. Would be nice if it were.

I'm using a cheap USB keyboard I got for free someplace....

Don't have any suggestions.

but i do use its cheaper cousin the Luxeed Dynamic Pixel LED Keyboard because I like my keyboard's color to my mood,
glowing neon when im happy, fiery red when im mad, and chill blue for when ahh you get the point lol

Echo Star. Been using this keyboard since I got my first computer. Occasionally the Shift keys stick, but otherwise it works perfectly.

I also have a second keyboard I've used for RPG Making. It's IBM.

I just use a cheap USB keyboard that came with my newest comp. I don't get the need for fancy shmancy keyboards.

I see that Saitek made a Eclipse II and III. The III has a crap ton of multi-media commands that I would never use, but the Eclipse II looks a bit better than the Eclipse I... and can do different colors of backlighting. I may just do that... I just don't know if I can part with the money the ask for.

So yeah, a little update. I just got in my new keyboard. I ended up getting the eclipse II. I bought it used, but it looks about as new as anything. So win for that, I suppose. It feels really nice, and the backlighting is really awesome. The red and blue look pretty awesome... not so much for purple though. There are a few multi-media keys and they actually work with winamp... assuming you enable global hotkeys. I won't be taking pics or anything because I'm just about to do my liquid computer mod. So you'll see it there.

I'd like to bump that thread btw, but seeing as I've double posted, I really don't want to. Specially seeing as I'd have to post again after I have DONE the mod... making it a quadrapost. >_>

But yeah, that's going down sometime next week.
