I wonder
If I should have continued school
Rather than the path I currently stroll.

Part-time, minimum wage.
Far cry from a career.
It's almost been two years.

A bit stressing, since I'm swarmed by bills
Depressing, when no other work has been found.
Keep going, you can do it, I tell myself.
Others are still looking.

I'm still looking...for more.

Keep strong, Mr. Bon
The world isn't about education
It's about happiness and love
You have friends, big and small
Rooting on your side.

Keep the strength
Always move forward
Open your eyes to new possibilities
Never give up.



What can I say? I liked your poem.

In response to the content of the poem, I think if you feel there is more to be gotten out of higher education, more you can use to advance yourself in personal and worldly ways, then it is important that you take the idea of going back seriously.

However, if you're just desperate for a way out of your current situation, and are willing to turn to school merely as a way out, without an actual investment in what's going on, then that is just another way to trap yourself.

Unless, of course, your current place of being really is so desperate that the simple act of change, no matter what kind, would be of use, then I'd say that there are many worse kinds of change to attempt to force stimulus into your life with than school.

You're young and you've got time to get it right - do what's good for you now.
Or, in the words of a past 'father figure', "Don't be a p*ssy you little cluck."
