It's true, guys. The RPG Maker Megazine, the project that we have been talking about for a good while, is finally complete! I have the full copy on my home computer and it's great to finally see together.

However, when looking at printing places to take this 310-pager, we've found that they want to charge $70 for a hardcover and only $10 less for a softcover. We don't think that this is feasible for many people in the community.

Therefore, we are announcing here at MagCon 2010 that we are going to be releasing the RPG Maker Magazine Archives. Each volume of this archive will feature a complete volume of 3 issues, so you can pick and choose your favorite sets for around 20 bucks.

These archives are the same great issues you've read, but formatted for paper. Each issue has a foreword by written by yours truly and saddle-stitched. Each volume will contain around 70 pages each.

I was HOPING the second announcement would be about this.

for those that can afford it, would the megazine still be an option? I'd like to get a hardcover.

but then again, maybe the archive version would be better, going forward, since new volumes can come out and everything would be uniform.

Well, since we have to split it up from the original massive pdf, I suppose we could just upload both and let people decide what they want.

There will be a topic for the Megazine/Archives once it's split.

The Megazine has been a huge project. Taking information and making hundreds of pages from it all. I know it might seem pricy (something we can't help), but I hope you guys find it worth while. There's not much in way of extras (other than the new format for book and some extra pages introducing each issue) but that's all we could come up with over the course of this time. After asking several times, no one seemed to have anything they wanted added... but I hope that it won't need it.

What would be awesome is if you could order the four separate books and actually have Lulu make a cardboard box (with custom images printed on all sides) for them all so it looks like an actual box set.
