Why can't I ever get my check book to balanced. This month I'm $550.00 off. Well atleast the bank says that I have more then what my check book says.

Online banking takes care of that for me. It holds all my transactions, so I don't have to worry about it. If any charge appeared in there that would be in question, (which it hasn't) I could always get a hold of them.
