I just got back from The Princess and the Frog and I have to say, it's the best Post-Disney Renaissance movie by far. The movie's 2D animation is spectacular, the plot is unique and plays around with its Louisiana backdrop well, the songs are ALL immensely enjoyable, and the characters grew on me.

Dr. Facilier is a very nice villain and I liked every time he showed up on the screen. He was so pimp.

Tiana is a great addition to the Princess roster, being a beautiful, hard-working black woman who's actually pleasant for other people to be around.

Prince Naveen was a such a card and his interaction with Tiana is the wonderful backbone of the movie.

There is no man-bashing or anti-male tones (or anti-female) in the movie! Huzzah!

The movie even took a bold risk or two.

This was a great experience for me. I hope you see it, too.

I'm seeing it tomorrow. It should be nice.

Okay, I'll add it to my (incredibly small) list of movies to see.

I've been told for YEARS now that i will see this movie and better love it! xP
A really good friend of mine is a disney animator who has devoted pretty much every waking minute to this movie for the past few years so im anxious to see it.

That's one of two movies I want to see this holidays. Avatar being the other one. (Not really interested in Ninja Assassin)

Ninja Assassin is pure suckage. Don't see it.

This movie (I just got back from it) is amazing.

I'm not even the slightest bit interested in Ninja Assassin...

This movie didn't have a bad song, period. I can't remember the last time I could say that authoritatively.

However, for maximum entertaining value, I would say this order:

Spoilered to prevent my bias from affecting y'all.



and all the other songs are likely tied. It just shows how awesome they are.

I have to convey the sheer magnitude of wonderment this movie bestowed upon me:

I consider Tiana to be one of the finest black female characters ever.
