I need to get the Orange box, actually. I've loved Portal and I've always been interested in Team Fortress 2. In fact, I know a whole crap load about the game for not ever having played it...

Get it. We shall play. I know atleast 3 others that have it, but only one plays TF2. Besides, is there a single better deal out there than the five games in the OB for just $20? I would be impressed if there is.

I've been meaning to do this for a long time anyways. Though honestly, I wanted to play all of halflife and halflife 2 before buying it. =/

There are probably more differences than similarities. Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance has your typical RPG items (weapons, armor, potions, etc.) that you can carry, sell or drop due to weight restrictions which I think is like Morrowind and it also has similar medieval fantasy content (it is within the D&D brand). But the gameplay is very different. The storyline progression itself is very linear even though the dungeons and battles themselves don't really 'feel' too linear. And it is an action RPG so you are looking down onto the battles like in Gauntlet. The title screen though did remind me of Morrowind (or maybe it was Oblivion). So it has the same realmish mood to it but is pretty different in gameplay. I like it so far (including it's medieval fantasy content and look) but a number of times I have been stuck trying to figure out how to fight a given dungeon or boss battle and I kept dying. Each time I figured it out the battle itself was very winnable. I think part of this was my fault as a gamer. If I had a little more experience in these types of games it probably would have been much smoother. Having said that it was frustrating encountering 'doable' dungeons only to be stopped for (in one case literally 2.5 hours) trying to figure how to beat a boss. Once I did figure it out though I did think to myself that I should have known that in the first place. I think the more I play it though the more reasonable it will be (I hope).

I finished Lufia 2. Took me approximately 14 hours spread over 3 days. I'm now probably going to either beat it again, or work on getting the Ancient Cave done again.

A quick note on Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance. I just got through a "dungeon" that did feel pretty linear so scratch what I said above. This game is both rewarding and annoying. It is like love/hate but it is addictive so I still want to play even though I have other things I need to do right now.

Getting back into RPGs with SMT: N and Skies of Arcadia Legends.

I was playing Indigo Prophecy until my Xbox broke.

SMT: N is retardedly hard. But I do like that the game came with the soundtrack.

Been playing random games lately that I don't really intend on beating (again):

Mother 3
Lunar (The GBA one)
Megaman X (I beat it twice yesterday).
Pokemon Ruby
Sword of Mana

I plan on beating Shadow of the Colossus again for like the 4th time, the only problem is that because you keep all of your health and stamina upgrades after each playthrough, the game gets really easy.

Now playing Fatal Frame I. And holy crap it is DIFFICULT. Attacks from ghosts take off a third of your life, and there just isn't enough healing items to go around. On the other hand, it's even scarier than the later two installments, and you play as Miku - the heroine from Fatal Frame III - and I think she's super cute. ^_^

You're playing Fatal Frame in an odd order SK. How is 3, anyway? I own it myself but I only completed 1, and I loved that game.

Been playing House of the Dead Overkill, and having a blast with my friend playing it. We've played every HotD, except the first one. Which I just ordered on ebay for $88, and I have my guns here ready for it. Bring on the zombie shooting.

I started a new game on Secret of Mana. The game seems so short when you actually know what you are doing.

I've started playing Half Life 2. And I love it. Looking forward to Episode 1 and 2. Also, I've started Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

SK and I have also started a new file on Twilight Princess.

With Lantis playing The Orange Box, I was feeling like going in too and finishing it for the first time on its third platform. Well, Half-Life2 anyway.

Also just got Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition. LOVE IT. I played it back in 07 when Dread Lords expansion came out, then last year, I totally missed Twilight of the Arnor expansion. So I got the UE to make up for it.
