Playing Dragon Quest VIII.

I always wanted to like this game seeing how similar in style it is to the default RPGM2 scripts and many RPGM3 features but I never could get the hang of it so I put it away. Now that I understand how you are supposed to approach it I appreciate it much more. I'm still early going but it is far better than I expected.

I just can't get into the Dragon Quest/Warrior series. I just seems like the game tries to avoid it's own story as much as possible having you running off doing things completely unrelated to the main story ALL THE TIME. It's chock full of fetch quests*. Also, the equipment is always way too expensive. You'll sit there and grind for 2 plus hours expecting to be able to afford all the weapons and armor for all 4 characters (doesn't matter which game) and when you get to said new town, you'll be able to afford two of the newest weapons at best. And I'm a correct that gaming over half's your cash in every game too? That's just insane.

*You should totally let me know how you feel about chasing Doulmagus across the sea. Just grab a boat and persue right? Yeah... you'll see. I'm highly interested in what someone who hasn't played it yet thinks of it.

Anyways, I've finished up playing .hack again. Got all other games out of the way because LEFT 4 DEAD 2 IS OUT!

I am two achievements from completing Fable2 as well as two away from Fable2 Pub Games.
I also will be playing through ODST with Faeus shortly. That's a game that with two players can be completed very quickly. Aside from a couple cheevos that require four players. No worries though. We will 1000 it.

I just started L4D2. Figured out the save that dude achievement, as well as how to get "faster than Moustachio" and I have a theory on how to get stronger than. We shall test them tonight.

So, I finally got time to squeeze some gaming in my life (but I haven't played in a week tho)
Last thing i played was Guitar Hero 3 (PS2)
I've already got 5 stars and all songs in Easy Career mode, and I'm trying to adjust to play with a new note now. (And to learn how to Hammer On and that other thing you can do)
Yeah, I'm a Guitar n00b.

Playing Portal: Still Alive. Got some new achievements and I will still get a few more today. Maybe even 200 it soon.
The new levels are tough to gold medal. I only have two golds and that was after days of scratching my head.

I've been playing Legend of Dragoon a lot lately. I've owned the game for several years but never played it for more than an hour or so.

I'm currently about half way through disc two, and the game isn't that bad.

LoD is awesome, imho. I hope you end up enjoying the ride.

So, I've started playing Radiata Stories. It's from the makers of the Star Ocean series (Square Enix and Tri-ace). A friend of mine lent it to me, so I kind of have to play it soon so I don't looke like a douche for just holding on to his game. And it's feel like Star Ocean lite. Everything was kind of toned down, but the humor in the game is kind of nice. They have all this elbow jab type humor, and I kind of like it.

But but I don't like about the fool game is that it's one of those games that'll not tell you a single thing after a major plot line and just leave you to blindly run around and hopefully stumble into the next plot event. I got back from a "mission" and am back at my castle. I can't leave, and I've ran all over the 8 floor castle. 4 floors and 4 basements. NOTHING. I wanted to go through this game without a walkthough, but holy hell. You see, someone in our party got hurt. So I thought I had to visit them in the infirmary. Of course, I have no idea were it is... so it took FOREVER to even find it... after I did, all that was in there was my hurt friend who said "..." and that's it. f*ck...

I hate RPGs that do this.

Still playing L4D2.

Now playing Avalon Code for the DS. And it's really slow going because I HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE AS TO WHAT I AM DOING. Otherwise, I at least think I can see the potential for a decent RPG here, and it is certainly a splendid-looking game, so I am holding out hope and continuing with the LP.

I need to get on the original Fatal Frame, soon.

Going for the 200 floor ancient cave in Lufia: TLR, luckily the game has a quicksave feature. I'm on floor 101 and I estimate atleast another 5-7 hours to be added onto my 6 hours I've already spent in here.

Yay 60+ hour GBC games!

Making my way through Crisis Core. Just stomped a mud hole in FF Tactics for the umpteenth time... And it was still as awesome as ever. Ninja/Monk with Barefisted, Counter, and Fly ftw :D

Plowing my way through a cartridge game of Lufia 2. I'm about 5 hours in, about halfway through the game already (one or two dungeons behind my LP already lol).

lol, that's hard core, man. I think that I overly like Chrono Trigger, but I've never played two games of it simultaneously.

I've pretty much stopped all else and put all my time into Radiata Stories. And it's turning out to be just a wonderful game. I still don't like how sleeping x number of times progresses the story half the time... because of that, after every major event, I seem to run to my house and sleep two or three times to see if that gets the next part going (and yes, there had been times where I slept once and nothing happened and then a second time immediately afterwards and something DID happen... weird, I know). The only other complaint is that they seem to like to dead end you in the story with no leads as to what to do next most the time. So a good deal of the game is spent aimlessly wandering around and sleeping a lot.

But outside of the prevously mentioned things, this is probably the best RPG I've played this year. It's really that good. And I'm immediately going to play it again after I beat it. A few ours into the game, you make a game changing choice. And it COMPLETELY changes the story (details in spoiler).

So this is a game that has different races. IE: Human, elf, dwarf, goblin. Eventually the dwarves do something to piss the humans off and they attack (though it was really completely uneccessary to do so). This sparks the beginning of what's going to be a war. And you are posed the question to side with the humans or non-humans. If you side with non-humans you LOSE all your human party members. And at this point, I ONLY had human party members (the game has a sh*t ton of characters to get like in Suikoden, but I haven't bothered with it really. As long as I have enough to make a full party, I'm set). Also, a very important person to the protagonist has joined the non-elves... so yeah.

So after making my choise, I see that I'm missing some seriously interesting events... but witnessing some pretty awesome stuff from the scenario I DID choose. I believe the game has a game + mode, so runnig through a second time will be a breeze. But yeah, it's totally worth it and I highly recommend you guys pick this up.

I got the final party in Lufia 2 now lol, about 8 hours. I've officially bypassed my LP. I could probably finish the game tonight.

Mostly I've been playing Tales of Symphonia on my fourth playthrough. Technically I could finish the game, but I am having so much time just fighting the cameo battle at the game of the arena that that's all I'm doing. I get the most success when I play as Raine, and control her healing spells. Since I'm battling in Mania it gets pretty intense, and I love it.

Also plan to do another playthrough of Indigo Prophecy, play Beetle Adventure Racing, and when the saturn memory card comes in the mail, Winning Post.

And my friend and I recently beat House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return, and we loved it.

I blasted through Halo3:ODST on Legendary a couple days ago. Got over 700GS too. Just a bit of work for a few more easy ones and then the last five or so will take some real effort.

I really want to get back into the Orange Box lately. Mostly Portal, but I would love to finish Half-Life and the other eps included. Even would like to play some Team Fortress 2 if I new anyone else.
