In this topic, I will list the potential activities and tourneys for the con and ask that you submit ideas for it:

Activities:

RPG Maker Showcase
Showing off our various RM projects in real-time

Tournaments:

VG Decathalon
Entrants will compete in 10 random, point-based videogames from the past - NES/SNES/GEN

Left 4 Dead Time Attack Challenge
Teams will try and beat a campaign as fast as they can.

TMNT: Turtles in Time Endurance
Players will try to kill as many Foot soldiers as they can on 1 life.

Magic the Gathering
Everone bring your best decks from home.

I think the RPGM showcase would be great for showing upcoming releases, demos, etc.

But I would also like to see developers, especially RPGM 2 gurus, demonstrate how they worked their magic in some of the more sophisticated games already released.

Magic the Gathering players, like the last two years, need to bring your cards. We've had a hell of a lot of fun playing Magic with such a large crowd. If enough players show up, we could hold a MTG tourny too.

Why not do MTG on the XBox?

Because it is inferior. The way the game handles turns is kind of crappy... and worse, you can't edit and personalize your own decks. Anyone who plays Magic will have their own desk that they like better than the xbla game.

I had an idea. Depending on how many show up, we should play human Magic. Like, someone could use me as a card or something like that.

At one point, I want to get everyone together for a group picture.

I think that the Creative Discovey Museum would be a good backdrop (and for teh lulz). Also, I'll get something for all of us to sign... probably just a white sheet of paper. I'll get home, scan it, remove all the white, and place our signatures by ourselves in said picture.

RPGM Teamup. Let's all work together to create a game during the con. Doesn't matter if it's finished or not. We'd just take the time to make our own little touches or throw out ideas.

Question is: RPGM1 or RPGM3? RPGM3 has plenty of users but is more limited, but RPGM1, while there's more potential, takes a little while to do any typing. Though I suppose I could handle a lot of the typing, as I've gotten rather speedy at it.

Also, it would probably mean we'd need more than one PlayStation, as I'm sure some of us would rather be playing/showing off games rather than wait around for one person to create his little event in the game.

what about VX? That would be easier. It'd be on the computer and easily distributable to ll parties if they wanna work on it after the con. But it's whatever.

Oh yeah, VX. Forgot about that one, and it'd definately be the easiest and fastest. XP, too.

I think we should all stand in a circle and show each other our private parts.

So it's just a matter of getting a compy with XP or VX on it. I currently don't own either, just the little application that allows you to run finish products. Past experiences from here kind of poitn towards group projects not really working out too well, but who knows, it may be different in person.

Just remember, we will only have Friday night through Monday morning to do everything it is we want to do.

And as for suggestions for a tournament, I have Guitar Hero.

All right just the females that show up can show us there private parts which will be...zero.

Actually, we have one that will be there for sure. And I'm sure she's quite appriciative of said suggestion and would be all for it.

I prefer Rockband over Guitar Hero, but will play whatever makes it there.

So is the thought that these activites will be in someone's actual room or will we have a common area of the hotel to do these activities?

I was thinking, for our Smash Bros. Brawling, we should send a few of our custom stages to the person who's bringing their Wii.

As long as we have "the box" I'm good to go. That stuff was hillarious.
