Yes, folks.

To be parted from my system would be parting from one of the key moments of my childhood. If I were to ever have offspring, I would inform them that before the days of Sony and Microsoft, there was a company who controlled a hefty share of the video game market, and brought about classic tunes and games, despite its first offering being an 8-bit system with several limitations. Ladies, gentlemen: I'm sure there is some sort of technology from your childhood that you just could not fathom parting with. The top loading (second version) NES system is one of them. :tup

Life wouldn't be the same if I had never had a Zapper and light gun, pointing the gun at the screen point blank because I could never aim.

I'd never throw my Nes away. That's just crazy.

The only left of my NES and it's collection is a single Final Fantasy I cart.

I have the same NES I got when I was six. Quite a few memories on that thing. Alas, in my stupidity, I have gotten rid of most of my NES game collection over the years. Mario 2, Mario 3, Rad Racer, Duck Hunt, Snake Rattle N Roll, Clash at Demonhead, Tetris 2, Dr Mario, Yoshi, Yoshi's Cookie, Thunder & Lightning, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Zelda II... all gone, and I know there are others I've forgotten. Most of these, it baffles me why I'd get rid of them to begin with. The old "found a newer version" excuse doesn't apply.

Well, no more. What I have is what I keep. And I shall reaquire my old collection. And get some new old games while I'm at it.

I own Mario 2 and Mario 3 on the Virtual Console, now. But it's not quite the same as playing them on the NES itself... :(

I remember selling back a couple of games to Gamestop and I regretted it ever since. But I would sell back Mortal Kombat Deception for like nothing.

Location: Out there. In that place. You know, with the "thing"
Flea Markets and Antique shops around me sell PILES of old videogame stuff now. you should make some visits to local pawn shops and second hand shops to see what you can dig up. Doing this, my wife and I have amassed well over 200 NES titles.

Oh yes, My cart collection would make you drool with jealousy. ^_^
