Long ago I use to play this game quite often. And Sarah's Knight, for some reason, never has at all. In light of this (as well as the co-op play), we are going to LP a classic. Secret of Mana is a multi-player active battle RPG. It features a very interesting weapon system that lets you level weapons to gain new attacks and fordge them into stronger weapons with added effects. Spells work in a similar way. Bascially the more you use any one thing, the stronger it becomes. And with all the options avalible, there's a good deal to choose from.

Having recorded a few episodes already, you'll notice that we're cutting quite a number of times. Seems I kind of lost a good deal of memory towards this game. But give us a a bit and we'll get things up to par. So let's play Secret of Mana.

Darnit, now you're playing another game that I'll want to beat before I watch the LP. :P Though, I doubt I'll be able to make it terribly far in the game, on account I had trouble with the first boss and the fact that you're walking at the edge of the screen might become too annoying. At the very least, I'll watch how you guys handle the first boss so I know whether I was doing something wrong or not, 'cause I couldn't figure out how to dodge its attacks, if they even can be dodged.

Awesome! I've played the intro part of the game so many times, but I've also never beaten it.

I am planning to play through myself, perhaps I'll start today.:D

If you have never seen the ending, then in that case, Miss Fayorei, I will try my best to overthrow the final boss without batting an eyelash, just for you. ^_^

(Even though I have never lived to see the last part of the game, myself.)

Not to spoil anything, but actually I'm going to do the slaying. Only the wielder of the mana sword will be able to deal damage to the final boss... and that's me.

You are on support magic duty, bro.

Also, the thrid vid is good to go.

I started tonight. I FORGOT HOW TO GET TO THE MANA SWORD. I had to rewatch the LP to figure it out.

DEAR JEEBUS. IT WAS SO OBVIOUS. @-@

    Thanks for the sentiment SK.XD

You are welcome, Miss Fayorei. ^_^

... I am just sorry that, according to Lantis, it looks as though I will not be able to slay the evil beast, myself, for you, after all. :angel I have become rather fond of using the spear in this game, which I have at this moment decided I will now refer to as the Partisan of Justice from here on through the rest of the LP, so Lantis is the one with the necessary weapon, it seems.

Ah, well, <instigate> Lantis probably thinks he really showed me up by saying that just now </instigate>, but healing and protection are in my nature, anyway, as a chance encounter with a "What Final Fantasy Tactics character are you?" 'Net quiz once told me ('thought I would have been more of a Knight, but, okay).

    Just finished part 2.

    I LOVED A COUPLE COMMENTS...

    "TWO BATS. AH-AH-AH"

AND THE MR. DINK REFERENCE/IMITATION. I had to rewind that one.XD

Keep it up! I know I'm slow at watching, but I'll continue on it!

EDIT: Also, is there a way to make AI-controlled characters cast magic by themselves?

Thanks, Ash. I aim to please. ^_^

Anyway, I've posted part 5. As something to look forward to, Kajak is coming over eventually... and it'll be while SK is down, so he'll grab a third controller and he'll play the sprite for a few vids. I think that'll be pretty fun.

Yeah, sorry about that... I completely forgot to mention that. That's what I've been doing the whole time. So even though you play as the boy who doesn't cast magic, you can select spells of the sprite to cast without ever having to switch characters. And since SK has a character that casts magic, I take care of the casting of the sprites... specially since I have none of my own.

I feel bad for my computer, it'll have wires everywhere - one controller, two ps2 controllers the usb addapter, the mic... not to mention the emulator, the sound window, screen recorder, stopwatch program, and firefox for quick referencing a walkthrough.

How far are you in the game, Ash?

It'll be a hilarious LP though!!!

And... I was at the part where you have to go into the new cave you unlock with the ice spell in the dwarf village, but uh, found this new one with revamped translation that I think I'm going to give a go. :D

It will be... and I'm rather looking forward too it. All of us kicked back in chairs with boxes of pizza laying around with Dr. Pepper in arm's reach just shooting the sh*t and playing videogames. Fun times, fun times. I think we may try to blow through the rest of the game this weekend too since Kajak doesn't come down all to often.

I've told him he should watch all of these videos to get up to par so he won't be in the dark, but he never listens to me... ever.

    *sigh*

Oh, and part 6 is up.

And now part 7. I kind copied the wrong link for 6, so it was linking to 5 until now... sorry. But all is right with the world now.

    ::edit::
8 is up now as well.

Got part 9 up. Also, for episode 10 on to the end of the LP Kajak will be present. Hopefully, that sounds entertaining enough to look forward to.

Haha, watching the first two episodes of this inspired me to finish Secret of Evermore for the first time (The farthest I'd ever been was the Volcano in Prehistoria) and it also inspired me to re-fight the final boss in the game.

Keep it up guys, I still need to finish watching the rest of the episodes.

Sorry about the wait... I spend the last number of days taking all of my videos from other sites and putting them ALL on viddler. My viddler profile also got a really big update too. Everything is nice and index'd. To make up for it, I've posted both part 10 and 11.

Also, Kajak will be with us for the remainder of the LP, so I hope you enjoy.

Oh, and I also edited the first post with the Secret of Mana commercial (and have done so with all the other LPs too).

    ::edit::

Hokay, got 12 up as well.

Well, lucky video number 13... We've finally finished it. I hope you enjoyed our little triple commentary thing. If you guys liked it, we could definately try to arrage it again some time in the future.

    Anyway, thanks for watching.

Was a good run.. Kajak definitely made the video..

    *Shifty eyes*

I meant Mr. Perfection, of course.

I still think his God-like spear should have done 999 to the Mana Beast over the lousy level 7 sword.

I also think it's Blarg that's talking at the end because it distinctly says "Saqah" when she chimes in. So, who was QQ'ing.. Who!?

Hope you guys enjoyed the Bacon Pizza.. I gotta go eat now.. HUNGRY! :)
