With this game coming out on Xbox Live Arcade, I wanted to make a topic for it so we can discuss.

First think I want to show you might be a little strange.

Pause exactly at 0:28 and look at the top left. Read the bilboard.
Did you see it up at the top left?

Can't read it, here's a better shot:

How about now? Anything?

Still can't read it... well, here:

Um, question: WTF?!

Anyway, It's been so long since I've played the game, that I've gone and looked at some video walkthroughs to get re-aquainted with the game. Looked up on all the weapons and sub-fuctions and such. Really looking forward to it.

One of my all time favorites. Just bump up the framerate just a notch and you're golden.

You could mess with the framerate with a N64? And if so, why would it be any lower than the best it could do?

The framerate in PD64 was around 30 fps, and would dip quite often if there were lots of explosions or other things. That's about the only real criticism towards the game when it was released.

Hence why I'm anxiously awaiting this release. On a stronger system they can reverse that problem, and the game will be....well, perfect in my eyes.

I think I played in weapons training more than the actual game, sometimes.<_<

Oh btw, I just thought of something. Some of the stuff to unlock in the game could only be unlocked with the Gameboy Color cart of Perfect Dark. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eg_My7nYAU

Skip to 9:20 and he'll mention exactly what I'm talking about. So I assume the same will be in the XBLA version, just with different requirments, I hope.

Well, if they put in different requirements for collecting the eggs and key in Banjo-Kazooie, I'm sure they'll do something similar with Perfect Dark.

I don't think you actually got anything for collecting all the cheese in each level of Perfect Dark... that would be a good one to use.

Collect the cheese...that would be perfect! Put in the idea the developers didn't have time to.

And about the transfer pak...it would unlock cheats, but only the ones you haven't done already. So it didn't unlock any exclusive cheats. What's strange about linking up is that it'll help unlock the best cheat in the game, all weapons in solo.

So while my friend had to work hard to beat every mission in the game, I just cheated and used the transfer pak :D

I tried to get Perfect medals on all the missions, but got stuck at Area 51: Infiltration. I might have to boot up the ol' n64 and give it another try.

I had no idea this was coming out on LIVE.
My friends and I played this game a lot,
I was more obsessed with this than I was with Goldeneye 007 lol.

I was talking with Ixzion the other day when we noticed something. Everywhere we looked we noticed that is said SPECIFICALLY that it had online multiplayer, but never mentioned online co-op (or counter-op). I spent a good deal of time looking and never found a single site that said yeh or ney.

Well, I did find one... but they said it could support 4 PLAYER co-op. And I highly doubt that.

I guess time will tell. But there's no excuse not to have online counter/co-op. It's freaking 2009... don't be lazy.
