seeing as we are on a character creation binge id thought id see what your greatest character is.

just talk about the character you created and why it was your favorite, perhaps even how you decided to make it. inspire us to make our own.

My favorite character I created would have to be Po. Po was in the first draft of The Sword of Vengeance. He is a magical fox that has the ability to talk and his royal ties from the forrest lands allow him knowledge and access to areas that no human knows about. He was Chen zen's friend.

Po has a very regal apperance. Although he has great knowledge, his understanding of human behavior is very skewed. This tends to lead Po to give advice that is totally wrong or he gives it at the wrong moment. An example of this is when Terra and Chen Zen are on a bridge heading to the Castle of Twilight. Terra and Chen zen are having a nice converstation when Po jumps inbetween the two and asks Chen zen why he hasn't ask Terra out?

Po was inspired by my two dogs Bear and Hershey Bar. Bear inspired the regal side of Po and Hershey Bar is the impulsive and misguided side of Po.

Good question. There is a moment for each of my characters that I feel great about. Most favorite? I don't think I like any of them more than another.

Outside of my own self-characters (*points to avatar*), I don't really ... forget how I wanted to put it, so I guess I'll just give the generic "I don't really have a favorite".

Mine has to be Jess. Her full name is Jessie Bell and she is the wife of the main character in my game. She is a very cheery person, and gets easily overexcited during battles. (Usually burning everything in her sight. The fact that she can throw fireballs doesn't help)

Jess is based on my favorite PSO character, named Jess. For those familiar with PSO, she was a FOmarl, but I made her kind of short and pretty chubby, so she was pretty unique, (and butt of many jokes. I was called by some Rosie O' Donell in a robe, and people mailed their friends so they could see the fat force )
The burning frenzy came from a weapon called "Inferno Bazooka" which was generally a slow weapon, except when FOmarls used them, in that case it was as fast as a handgun. SO I had shortcuts to sing
"I'm a bazooka girl, in a bazooka world
Burning boomas, it's fantastic!

Anyways, Jess, along with other characters in Rincar were based on characters I had on PSO (which I was geeky enough to think of backstories that interwined them) and I even planned on making a game about their PSO selves instead of their alternate selves I'm using for Rincar.

And I think I typed enough already.

I believe I have just one character of mine that I am most proud of having brought forth from the imagination, primarily because she seems completely original, while pretty much all other characters in SOE I am sure were influenced by at least one or two other things. That would be a human girl in her late teens I have fondly named Jersey Heartshorn. Her first name comes from one of the main heroines of a series of stories that I had once written up many years ago, although that Jersey and the Jersey from SOE are quite a bit different in personality.

Jersey Heartshorn is a cute, freckle-faced girl who loves being a student of many different areas of knowledge, primarily the history and geography of the planet she lives on, Elvenia, which ironically happens to prove the assumed saving grace of many Elvenian lives at one point in the game. She is a very friendly person, but not near as outgoing as she might first appear, and she lacks a lot of self-confidence, as well as having a tendency to feel ashamed to ask for the help of others when she is in need of it. Jersey is a person who is very easy to read, being an unlikely heroine who always remains in doubt and fear of the unknown, but she possesses a very good heart. Perhaps what I came to note about her foremost is her cute but recurring klutziness (especially when it comes to casting magic), which nets her the label of "Space Cadet" by many of her fellow students.

Of all of the characters that Lantis or myself have created, I think I am the most fond of Jersey Heartshorn. Her name itself just sounds very cute to me, as well.
