In about an hour I will need a fourth.

Guys, April 21st is when we get our DLC with Dead Air and Dead Toll on VS. Plus the Lighthouse and survival mode... Much fun will be had.

I have not gotten that pissed off at the game in months. Wow..... We at least got vengeance on the second match.

Schadenfreude is a beautiful thing. I was trying so hard not to laugh... man, you were steaming. Good times, good times. I still feel kind of bad for that Stroh guy. Ix and I are use to that... I bet he was all wtf.

Anyway, free DLC next week. Yay!

I like exploding gas stations.

Laugh my f*cking ass off.

Allow me to elaborate: We are playing VS on No Mercy. The team we are playing aginst is actually quite good. We were neck and neck up until around the gas station area mid-way through No Mercy. That gas station, if you shoot at the pumps, could very well explode. Ix managed to smoker some one right by the pumps. A guy ran over and melee'd him out. Then I pounced on someone while they were both in the area.

This lead to getting all four of them within the gas stations range. Never before have I seen all four of the survivors get caught in the gas stations explosion, because that would devistate your score because all of them would be dead. Well, while Ix and I were re-spawning, ShadowFox and some other guy we were playing with randomly where able to give them a bit of a hard time.

It's at this point that I would like to point out that if I was in there possition, I'd be repeating over the headset "Don't shoot, just melee!" But though some twist of fate... I heard it. A shotgun blast. And sure enough, one of the pumps caught fire... and then there was no more. All four of them in the same explosion. All you could hear over the headset was laughter. And even after the next level loaded, continuous laughter. That was one of the most epic things to happen in L4D ever.

Of course, like... half of them rage quit. Amazingly, we were able to finish that campaign.

I wish I could man... but I have stupid sh*t college work to do. I will be down come friday afternoon, though. I'll be busy all week until then.

Not so impressed with the DLC with the limited melee.

Elaboration: The content was pretty cool. It was nice being able to run around as infected on the other two maps and get to see all the nooks and crannies that we couldn't as survivors. But in the end, it's still vs and that's about that.

Survival was actually really good. It gets hectic really really quick as you get your first (of many) tanks like... twenty seconds in. The gold rank (the best rank) is ten minutes, and the Lighthouse is a small single chapter level that's only playable in survival. After we got 11 minutes in the Lighthouse, we were going to move on to another campaign's fanale. Only to find out that you can play survival in any chapter of any campaign in the game. Each one keeping track of your best time. In total, that's 21 differnt maps to play. Kind of awesome, if you ask me.

But on to what Syn's talking about. They f*cking nerf'd the melee ability in the game. The update limits you to 5... FIVE melee swings before a bar has to fill before you can swing again. And you have to wait for that bar between every swing until you stop melee-ing for a good number of seconds. Seconds you DON'T HAVE when confronted with a horde of zombies/tanks/boomers/hunters/smokers. It was the same way in vs too. But we did find out you can melee all you want in campaign mode. So after playing both survivor and vs for a bit... we ended up playing a campaign on expert. Kind of sad there's all this new sh*t and we were doing something back when the game was new. But that melee nerf was just a really really bad idea.

I'll be playing from now til x, maybe 11 or so.

I don't know if I'll be playing tonight, but I will be on available all day tomorrow and Sunday. Been worn out from school. 3 tests in the last 2 days (today and yesterday).

Every time I play versus.... I am reminded of why that mode pisses me off.

Well, me, Lantis, Ix, and SK have achieved getting the Nothing Special achievement which brings me, Ix, and Lantis to a total of 1000/1000 achievement points. I'm quite thrilled about being done with that mess. Been trying for it for over a month... almost 2 months. So, now the game can be put to rest for a while, unless SK wants help with achievements.

We finally did it. We got Nothing Special. I'm so happy.

That was the best Memorial Day ever...

I would like to play VS with you guys some but I am silver again. Until I move into my new house I am staying silver. I haven't been playing much of anything anyway.
