I want to know.

I've been working out since last March and despite a small lapse of inactivity, I am back in the mix.

For one, I love doing weights. I also play basketball and ride the exercise bike to build endurance. So far, I have lost two pant sizes. So...please share.

I like weights, running, and occasionally swimming.

My absolute favorite way is high intensity (non-step) aerobics. Its like fast dancing to house or techno but I don't have anywhere to do that here. I used to when I was in college.

Anything cardio will get you into good shape. To shave off the lbs, change your eating habits to multiple small meals a day (up to 5). Swimming is also a good way to do it.

The trick to raising the metabolism is extended periods of elevated heartbeat.
It signals the body that it needs to burn more efficiently in order to keep up.
So, like the guys said, Cardio is great. Swimming is one of the ultimate full-body workouts, hits every major muscle, including the heart. If you want the kind of workout that gets your heart knockin' on your ribs try a Stairmaster for as long as you can.

Its intense and works. Lots of my friends and coworkers use it. I kinda do too. I don't follow it as tight as I could, I just do one routine every couple days rather than one a day.

The thing I do closest to keep in shape is walk. A lot. But I don't do it for that purpose. As soon as I finish my internship (couple of weeks, yay) I'll start going to the gym again. (I like the feeling of sore muscles <3)

Anyone who doesn't like the soreness after lifting is a p*ssy, imo.

I use to skateboard way back in the day... that was a really good way to get in shape. Also to lose a good deal of skin from your knees and arms. Fun times.

Endurance training with weights. Involves using smaller amounts of weight with a higher amount of reps, tones the body and builds stamina, instead of explosive strength. I also do routine flexibility exercises.

I get my cardio by practicing shinkendo. It really helps with balance, and is as intensive a workout as running, without the shock to your bones.

My workouts take maybe 30 minutes out of my day, max.

Running, DDR, lifting weights.

That's my plan.

Oh, also, I have a meal diary that has been recording every single thing I eat. It has helped TREMENDOUSLY and I cannot say enough about it. I'm losing two pounds a week.

1. Excercise, a lot of aerobics and lifting weights. At least 30 mins or more a day. No more than 2 hours.
2. Diet, you don't have to go to the extremes like Hugh Jackman did, 1 egg white and one toast of wheat bread every 3 hours. Dieting will get you far and show improvements in a month or so.
3. Drink water, don't drink sodas or anything with sugar. Candy also.

Location: Out there. In that place. You know, with the "thing"
I contend the that "round" is a shape.

But seriously. I have a gut but the rest of my body is built like an ox. And on that note, I find that just staying away from red meat, and switching to splenda has helped a lot. Don't be afraid to eat your veggies! Oddly enough, I've also found that I tend to loose more weight (when I am attempting to) if i kind of...not worry about it, ya know? If you are stressing about that burger you had last night, then it is more likely to stay with you. If you just eat responsibly and let your self indulge once in a while then you'll do fine.

One last tip though; NEVER underestimate the importance of good ol' fashioned FIBER in your diet. Eat lots of yogurt, and shredded wheat. It's no lie that those last few pounds may have nothing to do with fat...

Don't eat fast food either, McDonalds may be cheap but it has been proven they have killed a lot of people from their food.
