Fans of the first, discuss here.

If you haven't played the first... would you kindly do so?

Bioshock 2 is suppose to take place, once again, in Rapture City... but before the events that took place in the original. So, what do you think are the chances as playing as Ryan or Fontaine?

I WILL buy Bioshock 1 soon but I'm kind of nervous that a Bioshock 2 won't surpass the first.

I got Bioshock for 15 bucks on pc and it looks amazing! I played about half an hour and forgot that I should be getting gamerscore for bioshock. So I shall get it on 360 and play then.

The prettiest water I have ever seen in a video game. I can't wait for this one. I just hope it will either be on par with the first game, or at least be a little better.

*Look Mr. Bubbles, its an Angel.*

EDIT: Oh yeah, I hope we could play as that psycho plastic surgeon guy, then we could make our enemies look like Micheal Jackson with new nose jobs. :lol

Because of the first, I'm buying the second on launch date. I'm not going to concern myself with wondering if it'll be as good as the first. In most cases, sequels in games are actually better (unlike movies, so it seems).

Besides, seeing as Bioshock 2 takes place before the first one, I'm really eager to see Rapture before it went to hell in a handbasket. Or perhaps, actually seeing it fall into what it became in the first.

A demo is out for review by a few major sites.

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/23/joyst ... ioshock-2/

Apparently you are playing 10 years AFTER the first game, and play AS the first Big Daddy ever constructed.

::edit::

First video footage ever of Bioshock 2... confirms a good deal of information.

(the lack of intrest in this game/thread hurts my soul)

Just watched the GT vid and it was really cool. I still haven't gotten BioShock 1 on 360 so I would like to do that before the second.

First 8 minutes of uncut gameplay. Shows of quite a bit of stuff, like the mixing of plasmids.

Pre-ordered.

I don't usually like shooters, but Bioshock won me over with it's amazing ambiance.

When I watched an episode of "I Love Lucy" after completing the game, during one of the dance scenes at the Tropicana, I was immediately taken back to Rapture and half expected to see splicers tearing their way through the crowd.

I would have LOVED to see that. Best episode of Lucy ever.

But to be honest, I was going to get this game simply for the single player experience, but I've been hearing some REALLY good things about the multi-player. So I'm actually quite looking forward to that now as well.
