@#$% Friggin' Audacity crashed while I was recording! 40 minutes of commentary, lost!

I knew it had crashing problems before, but they usually only occurred when I stopped recording. Which is why I usually test the recording before I start. I assumed if it doesn't crash the first time, it won't crash for the rest. Well, I was apparently wrong. So, Audacity's out of the question. What should I use, instead?

Goldwave... it takes a while to get use to, but it is by far my favorite sound editing software. You can tell the difference in quality in that third video update I made, the first part without game footage was with Goldwave, while the rest was recorded with my screen recorder Hypercam 2.

Oh, yeah... Goldwave. I remember that. I actually passed that for Audacity. Can't remember the reason why. Been a while since I tried it, like before I got this computer.

I'm not really a fan of comic heavy RPG Maker games, but I will say that I love all the things you can do with RPG Maker 2 that you can't do with 3. Like fire filled rooms, dialog in a fight, ect... It really does seem that 2 is the best maker there is. I still like 1 more though, but probably because of how used to it I am.

In this LPisode, it's an Episode 5 Redux. Bad news for me! (Well, at least Audacity didn't crash this time.)

I honestly don't know if I'd be able to finish this game or not, but congrats for keeping with it. Got to be glad that the debug menu is still accessable in-game. On a side note, on your viddler account do you have more embeds than views? Because a good number of mine are like that. Strange.

Oh, and don't forget to buy items.

As for the embed thing, yeah, embeds are higher. I looked it up, and to my understanding, it's the amount of times the video has been seen, but not necessarily watched. I assume, for example, that going into this page counts as an embed. Which makes sense, 'cause Ep3, the earliest LPisode on this page, has 43 embeds despite only being viewed 6 times.

There are so many little bugs, I mean like seriously. If you were making a game to the best of your ability, why would you let things slide when they could be fixed with 5 minutes worth of effort? Ah well. Looking forward to your 8 screens of dungeon crawling... well, more or less what happens after the 8 screens of dungeon crawling.

i like the LPs overall but i have to gripe about the spelling-nagging. even in professional games you find spelling mistakes, you spend a bit too much time pointing them all out and nagging the game for it. not everyone can spell perfectly, my own games have plenty of errors like those mentioned, and even with an editor stuff still slips through - even more so with the way rpg maker programs input text. i hate it when perversion wastes a post to point out a spelling or grammar mistakes and then goes into a diatribe about it. i tend to get annoyed and skip through parts where you gripe about spelling thats more then just a point-out.

beat the game up for its poor battle design and overly cleche appearance, not for its minor spelling mistakes. sorry, im just annoyed at all the stops to argue about badly formatted text.


anyway, get back to making slayers reign so i can play it all ready. at this rate even soe will have come out. i really need to get up my own lp and mull through a few games.

I think he has every right to point out spelling mistakes. Doesn't matter if it's professional or not, I'm pretty sure Dray calls it out. But then again "professional" games are usually originally in Japanese. And translations aren't exactly easy... something we, as ameture game makers, don't have to worry about. I know RPG Maker doesn't have a spell check, but come on. We game makers should try and make an effort to proof read. Anyone who's playing a game and reviewing it NEEDS to point out that kind of stuff.

Besides, if we are to make quality games, we need to hold ourselves accountable for mistakes.

Besides, it's all in good fun. I'm not taking off big points for spelling mistakes. And I admit, I've made plenty of such mistakes in my own game. (Granted, I usually fix them as soon as I notice them.) Just ranting for the sake of ranting. And in som cases because it relly is funsounding out spelling mistake's. Just ask Strong Bad.

Did you try to proof read your game in which you've made "plenty of such mistakes"? If not, why not (didn't you consider it important?), but if so, then maybe you can explain to Lantis that it is still possible to make spelling mistakes even when you try to proof read your game.

I don't need it explained. I'm not as ignorant as you think... but then again, not everyone can have such great mental prowess as yourself. That aside, you can at least make an effort to actively look for mistakes instead of after it is all typed out, just flipping through the text to make sure the scene is working propperly before moving on.

Even then, I'd expect people to test play through their game a few times before actually releasing. I guess expecting for you or your playtesters to look is just too much effort.

Well this is what I'm saying. If this could ACTUALLY happen to Draygone (as opposed to someone who doesn't care about their games) then maybe your expectations ARE too high.
