Anyway, I beat Illusion of Gaia again today, got every Red Jewel, attempted fighting Solid Arm (that's his name isn't it?, but failed as I had no herbs to heal with, and because you only do one damage per hit even with max stats (also, it appears I glitched the game somehow to give me one more strength than max, every guide I've checked says the max strength is 29, and my last game has a strength of 29, yet my game now has 30 strength.)

Speaking of Strength, does anyone know why a game developer would make a character's max strength 29 and max defense 32?

I didn't know it was an RPG, and it sort of reminded me of Shadow Hearts (which I like)

Just got the Bunny Whistle in SO:FD. It allows you to ride an oversized bunny on the world map, 2x the speed and no battles. I also have my final party. Roddick, Millie, Ilia, Ronyx, Cyus, Ioshua, Mavelle, and Pericci. I still have only used Roddick, Ilia, Cyus, and Ioshua in battle.

Story wise I have 3 of 4 emblems and won't get the fourth until I clear out some more Private Actions that won't show up once you get all four.

I've been playing the hell out of Etrian Odyssey II on my 45 or so minute bus ride to work every day. My characters are probably over-leveled, but we'll see what happens when I get to the fifth floor. I've played this game for a good 15-20 hours (not including all the hours lost due to my party getting decimated and having to restart at least 20-30 times), and I've not even made it to the fifth floor of the dungeon yet (the entire game is one long dungeon....this game is a textbook definition of dungeon crawling level grinder, but regardless of that, and regardless of, or possibly because of, its brutal difficulty, it's thoroughly enjoyable).

Wait, Illia? I actually had the exact same party but had Ronoxis in her place. Two casters and two melee is how I've always ran it. Besdies, Illia just can't seem to hold SP to save her life. She either just stands there like a ninny or dumps all her SP TO FREAKING WALK. At least for me, she used her special moves to even navigate across the screen to the closest enemy.

Yeah I noticed that too. I am always having to stop and give her a Blackberry. But I don't mind because I want everybody's emotion level with Roddick over 9 so I can view their epilogue with the epilogue and helping each other in battle raises those values as well as Private Actions.

Speaking of PA's, I am about to finish the ones that get me an additional scene between Ronyx and Ilia after the credits.

Just finished Penny Arcade 2, the ending and cliffhanger was beyond epicness.

Kinda stuck in Terranigma, so I'm taking a break from it to play Star Ocean. I also started a new game of Lost Odyssey, but after like 2 hours I'm still in the first town.

Also started Katamari Damancy and finally understand why everyone says it's so good. I waited a little too long to start playing this, but hey, no harm no foul right?

It's been a while since I've posted here and I've played quite a good deal.

SK and I finished all but two Zelda games. Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass. Looking forward to playing those.

I finished Disgaea 3, and absolutely loved it. I want to actually take the time and level up a 9999 character, but there's so many other games out there right now, that I'm going to have to wait.

Oh, and I have long since put down FFTA2. That game is just as bad as the first and not worth my time. But I HAVE picked up something by the Ivilace Alliance that I'm actually liking a good deal. Final Fantasy XII-2: Revnant Wing. It's like a RTS, but simplified with more RPG type elements. And damnit they did it well. The battle system here is just spot on. I'm going to enjoy playing this game.

I also was able to play through and beat Star Ocean: Second Evolution. And man they did a good job of porting it over to PSP. I liked the majority of the changes. The only thing that I didn't care for was that they changed all the names of the Ten Wise Men. Their new names are just boring and generic. *thpppp* But at least I finished it in time for Star Ocean: Last Hope. GOODIE GOODIE!!! (though I'm "finished" because the GF ran off with the PSP to play it too. I didn't get to venture into the Cave of Trials.)

I picked up Heavenly Guardian for the Wii. Which is basically Pocky and Rocky 3. Made by the same people, but has no Pocky and Rocky. Sad, but true. But it's a really cheap game and fun to play. So yeah for that. I haven't played too much of it becuase I'm playing the Co-op with the GF.

I've been trying to get good at Street Fighter 4, in case there will be a tournament in Atlanta here next month. I know there will be Brawl and Rockband though, so wish me luck.

But currently, I'm just sticking with FF12-2, Left 4 Dead (still), and soon to be Star Ocean 4. I'll probably start up Windwaker berfore too long as well.

... 'Beat Final Fantasy III for the DS a week or two ago, and now trying to get past the boss in the iron giant dungeon of the DS Final Fantasy IV. Unfortunately he keeps beating me with two consecutive laser barrage attacks at the very start of the battle, and I have no idea how to get past that.

Actually, dude... by a savepoint somewhere before you fight the 4 fiends, there's a shop. Go stock up on healing and MP restore items and fight till you get up to snuff. You'll make the money for the items in the fight.

I'm addicted to Oblivion again. Great fun, though I encountered a glitched quest but it's rewards aren't worth the trouble. I still can't kill those damn bears!

I recently broke 19000 gamer score thanks to the L4D scene.
Played some Rock Revolution. Got the first album finished on expert but that damn KoRn song. I love it but its just a bit hard to keep the multiplier going in poison note for the score goal. The Green+Red to Yellow+Blue is what usually kills my multiplier.

I beat The Maw a couple times. I LOVE this game. It is easy but its just so fun regardless. Try the demo at least.

I wish I could post progress on SO4 but I have been playing lotsa quick games instead recently. I will dive in soon enough.

Why are some lines vanishing? I mean, it doesn't screw with your multiplier, but it looks like it's saying you let go of it too long, but I'm not sure that's what's happening.

But yeah, I've been doing some pick up games like you. L4D, Street Fighter 4, ect. But I'm about to go all in for SO4 as well. I'm still within the first dungeon, so I'm not far. Also playing Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wing for DS... but I'll probably start a new topic to go into that one. I have a good deal to say.

It's called poison notes. If you hit those notes that are black in the middle you lose your multiplier and the small hearts on the bottom of the screen; hit five and you fail. Its a challenge to do within the career. Each gig has two challenges and some regular pass or fail songs. Some challenges are interesting, like play a part of a song, then play it again from memory without any notes on screen. I grabbed that vid cause that's exactly the song/challenge I am having problems with. It's the whole red+green to yellow+blue thing. I always manage to miss and drop my multiplier, which I badly need to reach the score goal for the challenge.
