I am thankful you make your systems with such high endurance that they can fall off a shelf from maybe three feet high, onto a hard, cold tiled floor, and yet continue running on the floor on its side as though nothing happened. Twice.

I am not, however, thankful for your GameCube controllers and their short cords.

hahaha, I am thankful for that too, but I'm pretty sure if that happened to my SNES or something, it would explode. *looks at SNES with busted power cord that doesn't stay in the system*

I think I used to have a fall tally to record how many times my poor Game Boy Color fell on the floor.

I've dropped Wii controllers so many times that I've lost count. The same thing can be said for my PS3 controllers.

Well, my Gameboy has taken a lot of falls, and it still works. Then again, I was little.

Methinks Nintendo is the master of crafting great hardware. It never seems to break down.

While I am no longer a N fan, I do give them mad props on how durable their systems are. Its the stuff of LEGEND.

And roflcopter @Bo it's so true.

Well, you don't put girlfriends on shelves. And most of them are not wearing something long enough for you to step on it and knock her off the shelf.

I never dropped any of my systems but I admit that the way my gamecube had the built in handle, was so compact, and so light, I felt that it was truly portable, so anytime I was transporting my xbox or ps2 I felt nervous but not with the gamecube. As a matter of fact, I have a carrying case which allows you to poke the handle through a hole but zipper everything else up (controllers, power cord, etc.) . I used to take this with ease to my girlfriends apartment to play Animal Crossing.

So yes, I too am appreciative of the durability as well as the portability in design and construction.

Lmao, dray... I've done the same thing. But instead of falling off the shelf, it just ended up leaning into the 360. But the reason was also due to the gamecube controller cord. I too feel that the newer consoles have to be handled with much more care durring moving... but that's mostly due to the fact that they have hard drives in them now... and head crash has always been something I'm probably more careful about than neccessary.

And now, what happens to your High Def TV without the Wii Strap:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WrrvkPo7TZ4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WrrvkPo7TZ4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

But the Wiimote was unscathed, see. That's the whole point.

:lol Wow, that's gotta suck. Despite some of Nintendo's usual "wtf" ideas, the strap was a pretty good one. Although, if I recall, the initial batch of wiimote straps were a tad faulty.

What's even funnier is that the Wii is the only console that isn't High Def... so why are so many people breaking them when it's not even supported.

I want to know why people are letting go of their Wiimotes. I've never had one slip out of my hands.

I don't have the Wii Condom on my remotes, nor do I strap on the little thing around my wrist.

Well, that's what you normally do with a bowling ball. Some people might be forgetting that they're not holding a real ball. :P Or it could be a case of simply letting go of the button a bit too far.

Its probably because they already have High Def TVs. What are they supposed to do, go buy an old analog TV so that the support level is consistent?
