KK, this is where I'm going to list of ideas and things that I'm working on for rag. I'd like everyones opinion on them.


OK. As some of you might know, Feats play a very large part in how your character can preform in Rag. Feats are passive and activatable abilities that a character can unlock by gaining stats.

The first feats start at a stat rank of 5 for all stats. From there you can learn a new feat every 3 stat levels. So basically if your str is at 5 you know one str Feat and can learn more at 8,11,14,17..... so on and so forth.

Here's the deal. I would like players to be able to customize their character by aiming for certain feats when they level up. In the previous Rag you just spent your stat points and prayed.

There are two methods I'm thinking of using to do this. I don't want to just list all of the Feats for anyone and everyone to see because i think that would take away the flavor of the game. Instead I would like to show a person what feats they are near whenever they level up.

I will do this 1 of 2 ways.

The first way - When a person levels they recieve a updated character sheet. Added on to this will be the feats in each stat category that a character is closest too. For instance. If you have 6 str after leveling you will be shown what the 8 str feat is. while if you have 4 stam you will see what the 5 stam feat is.


The second way - Upon leveling and receiving a updated character sheet a player will also be able to see all feats within 5 stat points of their current stats. For instance, if you had 4 str you would see the 5 str feat and the 8 str feat. If you only had 2 stam you would only see the 5 stam feat.


I'm currently leaning towards the second choice for this main reason. Upon leveling a character gets 5 stat points to spend. If I choose the first method a player could dump all their points into 1 stat and receive 2 feats but not be forewarned of what the second feat was going to be. If I go with the second method all players will know any feat they can reach upon leveling.


Please let me know which method you think is best.

P.S. I know that their are those that would prefer to not know which feats they are near at all. If you would not like to know, then when we start playing all you have to do is tell me and I either (A. Won't send the feats to you or (B. Will use spoiler tags so you may peak at your discretion.

Awesome. Btw, I put the first 4 feats in the sign up thread. They're available at 5 stats, so everyone should reach 1 or 2 of them at the start.

just letting everyone know we'll be starting up monday probably. Was going to start this weekend, but the zip file I sent myself of all the info didn't work so all the info is sitting on my work comp.
