Does anyone have a RPGM3 Event Code for multiple characters, so you can have more then a 4 character party? Looking for something to swap party members.

Well my understanding is that you cannot have more than a four character party at a time (i.e. you can't have 5 characters fight in a single battle). But you can have events that allow characters to enter or exit the party for a maximum of 4 at a time.

I haven't tried to actually create such an event yet, but I think you can do it at least one of two ways.

Use variables to track who is in the party and who isn't like having each start party character variable 1 as 1 (i.e. on) and the other characters as 0 (i.e off) and then have an event that asks which character you want to exclude, confirms that character event variable is 1 (indicating the character is presently in the party), removes the character and switches the variable to 0. Likewise an the event can ask which character you'd like to include and you could treat it similar but opposite.

I think an easier way (which I think works) is just having a common party room in which all the characters not in the start party are displayed, and then when you approach them they ask you if you want them in the party and then you have the event code include them in the party. This automatically turns off the display and when you remove the from the party, their display should go back on. You may need to include an event if your party is full to remove party members first before the game lets the others join.

Any events that either initally start certain members with a variable not equal to zero, like having the start party character variable 1=1 or events that turn off the display of potential party members that will eventually be in the party changing room, but have not yet been encountered in gameplay can be handled with a one time initialization event that AUTO triggers, performs the necessary code, and then switches to mode 2 which has no event code or alternatively (I think, turns its own display off, thus rendering it ineffective).
