Well, lately allot of things have been going down... and it all started even before <a href="http://www.rpgmmag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?highlight=resolved&t=6407">this went down.</a> I won't be getting into the gory details but here's what it has to do with SK and I:

I've personally decided that I'm pretty much done with room mates... not that there is anything wrong with living with SK. I've basically been livinging with him since we've graduated highschool back in '02. So that's not the issue.

One thing, though... I wasn't living with him the entire time. There were times like here recently when I moved out to a different town and he'd later move in... and durring those times, it's like we'd hang out more than we did when we lived together. It's like the fact that we live in the same place kills off all the 'hanging out' so to speak.

Also, he's living a good ways away from where he works. Besides the drive being boring as hell... gas is just getting rediculous. Also, I am pretty sure that we will both get alot more Arc Arath work in this way (as strange as that sounds). On that note, I have mentioned in the studio that it'll definately be '09 before we are finished. As I said, things have been rather hecktic as of late. And to top that off, we had to re-format SK's computer... and didn't copy over some of his pre-typed out text for future scenes in the game. That pretty much doubles the time it takes to get work done as far as scenes go. Fun... Though I'm pretty sure we'll get it finished in the next year (and hopefully, we'll see Slayers' Reign too).

Anyway, so we are beginning the process of getting everything settled down. Since I can access the Mag while at work, I shouldn't be missing all too much, not sure about SK though. But once we've both got moved and everything has settled down, I think most the sh*t that's going on will finally subside.

Hopefully we'll all be moved by the end of this month... lest I have to shell out another $600 to my shittly land lord (which is also another reason for us to head out... she sucks... horribly as a land lord.)

Anyway, will post back with updates.

And no sooner do I make this thread, do I find a new place.

I found myself a cozy little appartment. One bedroom and one bath. The only utilites I'm paying is electricity (and internet, of course). Rent is only 350 a month, which is actually rather cheap. I put down the deposite and pick up the key this friday. Though I probably will slowly be moving till around the end of the month.

That should give SK enough time to get all his stuff moved to his new place, which I assume he's already looked into. I haven't told him yet as he just got back from work around 5 this morning... so he's going to be passed out till sometime this evening.

The only other concern I have is that my currently land lord might be a b*tch about it all. She's given me a really hard time the entire year and a half I've lived there. And one of the problems I've had with the house since I moved in, SHE JUST NOW decides to try and fix. I'll just be telling her to wait till I move out to take care of it. SK or I could go on forever about how sh*tty of a land lady she is and why I should get my 600 dollar deposite back... but I know I won't. So I'm cutting my losses and moving on.

I am just really hoping alot of the stuff going on will get settled by the end of the summer.

That's crazy cheap! I live in a one bedroom and I am paying 850 a month for rent, 150 for electricity, then cable, internet blah blah.

That's what you get for living in a podunk town.... wait, make that podunk state. I'm making around 36k a year, and I figured that I can just about pay a months living almost within a week.

Well, I just finished moving alot of my crap into the new digs. I'll still be staying at the old place till the last weekend of this month, mostly because that's the only time SK will be able to move out due to work. Don't want to cut the utilities on him when I move, you know?

Anyway, I've learned that I've been sitting infront of a computer for too long with no physical labor... omg, I am so freaking tired. I moved a couch, a 56 inch tv (the old, not wide, large box ones), my fussball table, and a desk along with some other random crap and my legs are still tired.

SK's appartment is actually up a flight of stiars, so I can imagine how much more fun it'll be doing what I did this weekend... but up stairs. What fun!

I'll be moving all the small things until the final move a week from this weekend.

You need to invest in a gym.

frick... the place ive been trying to move into for god knows how long now (slow f*cking people) equates rent wise to about $600 per month and it's cheaper than most places you can get by yourself unless it's just a room <_< ....

Anyway, I should be finished moving by the end of this weekend. I'll post pics of the new setup once I do.

Btw, I live in a townhouse with 2 bedrooms, 1 and a half bath, a rather large living room and a nice dining/kitchen area. And a back patio.

And it's $525 a month.

In the DC suburbs, in some of the less beautiful/ more dangerous areas, a studio is $850.

To get what you mentioned in a nice suburb would be about $1900.

Yeah here in ATL prices get to around 1200 in midtown. I pay like $950 a month for a one bedroom apartment. Oh and Lantis, trying moving in up 3 flights of stairs. That was fun .

But congrats on the new place, I know I enjoy living by myself.

Okay, there's a reason why I haven't posted here in a while.

Firstly it was because my 37 inch HDTV blew (still under warranty and still trying to get warranty work done on it... customer service sucks) and with it taken down, all the guts which consist of random connections (audio cables, power cables, HDMI, VGA, components cables, ect) are jus tkidn of limply spilling out. Not very pretty.

But other than that, I've been spending time with my family. I haven't told anyone at the Mag yet, but my family has been fighting something for a while now. My dad has cancer... and it's winning. Technically it's already won. He's only got a few months left and this sunday he was at the hospital. He was expected to go into a coma but didn't. His liver is failing and the cancer has spread from his lungs to his colon and pancreas.

[spoiler]His urine is a dark color, and his skin has turned almost yellow. His legs have swollen up to the point you can't tell his heel from the back of his leg, and has lost most of his hair. He's in allot of pain all the time and has been basically an isomniac because the pain will not let him go to sleep.[/spoiler]

So I may be busy with things for a while. I'm not planning on taking a leave from the Mag for now... I don't see a reason to. With things like this, it's good to know there's a place, even if it's on the net, that I don't really have to worry about problems.

Oh, here's something interesting. Don't every buy electrical equipment that isn't name brand. Simply because customer service today doesn't mean sh*t.

I that 37 incher I posted about, well, as you can imagine... I'm getting the run around. I called the company that manufactured it last week. They told me nothing but to fax in some information (because fax is apparently still new technology to them). And on the third I got an email from them saying that they've given my warranty work to a third party company (because the son's of b*tches don't to it themselves) and should call them the next day. Well... the next day was the fourth... a holiday AND they were closed for the weekend. So I get to wait till today.

Well... I just got off the phone with them. The company the manufacturer gave me to doesn't do work in the town I'm in. And they said they'd "call me back."

I'm really f*cking sure. So much for warranties and customer service.

I just got off the phone with my old land lord (lady). I was suppose to be out of the old house by the first. I was out on the 30th. Told her I was out so that she could come look and give my my deposit back. Well, she told me she was out of town and would be back at the lastest by thursday. I called thursday and she said wasn't back yet. Called again monday and she is back... but refuses to come close out the lease and give me my money. She says she'll do it later this week...

I'm really f*cking sure...
