Well, I kind of need to explain the subject description because there WAS a flash verison of Portal (that you can play here).

What I mean is that the flash version of the game was so well liked, that the guys who made it actually went into a portal editor and re-created their enitre game built with the original portal engine.

If you go HERE you can get a hold of the map pack that contains the flash version (TFV) for portal. Once downloaded, extract the files and you just copy and paste the files and folders in you portal directory. Once in there, all you have to do is go to bonus maps and there you'll see beside the two already in there "Portal: TFV".

I want to stress how great this map pack is. It's not just some custom maps, it's all connected (without the elevators separated levels in the original) and these guys even did extra GLaDos voices. They did recycle allot of the lines, but they did make some new ones. She'll taunt you just as much as in the orginal.

If you HAVE played the flash version from newgrounds, then in the map pack, you'll noticed that elements were created that were not in Portal. Electrfied floors, walls you can't walk through yet you can shoot portals through, and walls that are lazer gridded. If you liked portal, you have to get this. What's most amazing is that it's allot longer than the original portal and the difficulty level was really upped as well. And better yet... it's absolutely free.

Now though my trip, I had a snag a few times... So I was like, "meh, I'll just jump on GameFAQs"... but there were no walkthroughs yet. But you know who did have help? Good ol' Youtube.

You can Click Here for the first of 10 videos that'll walk you through all the puzzled of TFV map pack. Also, watch this video if you'd like a preview of what to expect out of the map pack as well.

Now... onto my little problem. I've seen the game installed correctly, but I've had a bit of a graphical problem. Any custom elements that weren't in the original Portal seem to have some issues. Any textures that weren't original show up as purple and black checkers... and 3D rendered objects like pipes and stuff actually pop up as a 3D rendered word "ERROR."

This really wouldn't be a big problem because it is only a visual problem and I can still play the game functionally... the problem comes towards the end of the game when you have to scale some pipes... of which are custom... but since they are custom and I get the ERROR render... I pass right through them and can't continue the game. I have a Nvidia 8500 so it's not a problem with not having good enough video capabilities... in fact, this is the only time I've actually seen this problem. If anyone knows a way to fix this... let me know. I've already tried reducing all the graphics options to the lowest, to no avail.
