I love this game, as 'gimmicky' as I thought the Wii Wheel was going to be, it actually works really well. I don't think I will ever play this game any other way. I do miss the double characters from Double Dash though, but I guess that was just specific to that title.

That's a perfectly legitimate and sometimes funny-ranty strategy, though.

I think the worst one was using lightning on the Wario track on the 64 Mario Kart (I think there was one on the SNES tracks too) right at the jump making people have to litterally drive half the course again before they finish that lap.

It works on every Mario Kart, but the 64 one was the only one that didn't put you back on the course right before the jump.

That doesn't stop me from taking advantage of jumps like that. For example, I always made sure to save any giant banana peels for the last jump in Double Dash's Waluigi Stadium. Doesn't work so well with regular items, though. Man, that's another DD-only feature I'm missing.

Make that stupid walmart, gamestop, and everywhere else.

I did go out of town... all were out. So I just ordered it online. It'll be in whenever the post office decides I can have it... because Lord knows they won't just simply do their job and get it here on time.

On another note, I hate the Liscense idea. It means all the stuff I unlocked and all my time trial records will be under my name, no matter who plays my file. Which means my little cousins, who aren't good enough for the computer, are forced to stay on their own files with limited tracks and characters.

Admittedly, it's not a terrible idea. But it would've been a whole lot better had unlocked stuff been unlocked on all files. Just keep the liscenes for trophies and records.

Oh, btw... you know that option to select manual or automatic?

I thought that was for tranmition, which would have been interesting. But it's not... if you go manual, you can powerslide like in Double Dash. At least that's what I hear. I'd find out myself if I didn't have to wait 50 forevers to get my copy in.

Actually, not that I can tell. "Automatic" is actually a newbie's slide. The power slide works automatically, but it lacks the boost. Other boost techniques still work using it, though.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. At least we can change the Mii on the liscence whenever we want. Speaking of Miis, Mario Kart was the second Wii game I've played, so I was surprised and amused (and angry at him) when I saw my brother's Mii crash against me in the Mall's parking lot. ^_^

Well, lucky me... Mario Kart came in.

But just as I got a new place to move into. I'll try to make it a point to get it up and online and see if we can't get some races going soon.
