Friggin awesome work everyone!
I must also congradulate Duel for being magonian of the issue.

Also, people take the time to edit your ssa into your sig. Lantis already laid out the code for us so its just copy paste. Thanks for that Lantis!

This issue is very well put together and the rumor mill is nice as well as the pavillion corner.

I think it's awesome. I love the RT4 coverage. Does anyone know if it's possible to use the battle sprites outside of battle in RT4, or the FMVs?

Those FMVs are freaking amazing BTW.

I loved it. I think reading the preview for Rincar and seeing the pictures again of the game are making me want to actually work on an RPG maker game.

Congrats on Magonian of the Issue Duel.

I voted for more Reader's Voice in the poll. I love reading your responses to our opinions ixzion.

I don't believe so. When I was playing around in scenario data, I went through all the possible event models for outside of battle gameplay, and I never found the battle sprites. Though I'm not sure about the FMVs being playable outside of battle. It sounds like it would be a good Idea. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Also, thanks for the feedback guys. It's much appriciated.

Thx for the quick reply Lantis. I had a feeling that the battlers couldn't be shown outside of battle. This is one limitation that detracts from the awesomness of RT4. I noticed that there weren't any monster character sprites, so this means it would be hard to have non-random event battles.

Thanks for the beauteous video, Lantis. And to everyone who commented. We need these comments to make us feel good, and hence give another issue. ;)

By the way, in the Summon video...
Demon Baby Doll and Pumpking Basketball Player for the win?
And to all:

Have you downloaded the videos and the OST?

Also, this issue's gotten 1600+ views and it hasn't been a full day yet. :D

I only had time to take a quick glance, but I must say, "It's times like this that I'm proud to be a Magonian." :D

I especially love the cover. The user's voice on how the Mag will die on page two was really cool. I'll check out more when I get the time.

*Truly awesome.*

It was released in 1994 and stared Johnny Depp.

Yes, I'm aware. That's why I said I wasn't naming you after the movie (which is good). I'm calling you Ed Wood.

Heh, anyone else just now notice that that on the cover it looks like Feros is trying to kiss Valk's feet?

I finally got the courage to start looking at the issue (those not in the know, I was the one that was supposed to do the cover, but got too lazy, and feel incredibly guilty; only I know how the cover could've looked). I'll make a quick comment on the characters and monsters for now.

Was hoping for an image instead of a video, so I could take a decent look at these guys so I'd be able to tell if RPGT4 contains the right characters should I want to move Slayers' Reign onto it. I can't really tell, though I like what I saw. And OMG, they had a character sprite of the sabre cat! I was totally trying to change Cath's species in RPGM1 because she looked like any regular cat out of battle, which meant I couldn't have regular cats, so I wanted to make her different so I could have regular cats and other animals. Also nice to see there's now two different dragon sprites instead of one. In a game where there's more important dragons than there are a single sprite's recolors, that's very helpful.

Now here's hoping that 1) characters like Mick have an appropriate RPGT4 version of their sprite (even if it'll take a bit of getting used to) and 2) RPGT4 provides proper enemy versions of the right characters, considering there's a lot of human characters you're supposed to fight, and apparently, despite party members having animations for use in battle, you still have to settle for an enemy version if you're fighting against characters. Or at least I assume, considering the bunch of human enemies there are.

Actually, it makes me wonder, Lantis, can any character be a party member, or do only some have animations for battle?

Actually, I have no clue. I haven't found the battle sprites yet.

I'm sure I can go into RT4's anime maker and find out though...

Just finished looking at the issue. I liked it, including the surprise of realizing that my forum response was incorporated into the Magazine article.

I tried to click the release date list for 2008 and nothing happened. I'm not sure if this is what you were going for or not but at any rate, it seems to me a good idea is to have a list not only of upcoming games, but also games that have been released since the last Magazine issue arranged and linked per RPGM type. This would make it easy for anyone who is more about reading the issues than being active daily in the forums to keep up with all the new games from issue to issue.
