Wait... you were expecting a video of actual gameplay? Ha... funny. When I was looking in youtube, so I was I. This was the first video I ran across. And honestly, it's sad. This, right here, is the reason I've gotten so fed up with Rockstar lately. If I want porn, I'm not scared to go out and look for REAL porn on the net. Don't cram it into my games. Is nothing holy to anyone anymore?

But seriously... this is one of the hooks to get you to play. I've been very dissapointed with the GTA series lately... and I will not be picking up this title.

Maybe you are not familiar with the Grand Theft Auto series.

Maybe you are not familiar with the idea that the more advance the video game system, the more realistic the simulation can be from what you've seen in past games.

Maybe you are not familiar with open nonlinear gameplay that allows you to choose or bypass experiences of your choice.

Maybe you are not familiar with the rating Mature.

Maybe you are not familiar with the idea that video games as a media have every right to convey adult content.

Maybe you need to assert what 'should' be "holy" so we can better understand the reasons for this topic.

I am familiar with the GTA series. Played them through up till 3. After that, I never owned another, but played bits and pieces of the later installments. So if you go back to the PS1 era, you will notice a huge change... and I don't mean in graphics.

Simply, it comes down to one thing. Sex sells. And come on, that video was pathetically taking it over the top. If that's one of the better parts of the game, I'm completely not interested. Give me an RPG any day... hooker free.

I understand what you are saying about the early days, but how is this different than anything we've seen lately with the series. In other words, there are usually several trailers for a game that appeal to different aspects and audiences. Isn't this only one of them?

If you took out ever instance of sex in GTA, you'd still have a perfectly function game that'd be no less fun. No aspect of the game would be lost. So how is it "a part" of the game other than it being just thrown in the game to attract anyone who may find that worth while?

This is how it is different from what we've seen lately. The characters who are of sexual nature are now even less clothed, some having those pasties for tops. The hookers you pick up, will now not only verbally talk about sex, but litterally get out of the passenger seat and strattle the protagonist and commence motions that leave nothing to the immagination. You can go into a strip club and get barely clothed woment to do things that were never possible in the previous.

The video attached to this thread was not a trailer... it was a collection of many different sexual scenes in the game, much of which I just mentioned. And here I was trying to look for gameplay...

I own the game and I think it's fantastic. But I've avoided all of the sexual entertainment in the game becuase I wasn't interested in it. I guess it has to appeal to...thousands..or more people but not all.

i don't know about this granT theft auto you guys are talking about, but you gotta try grand theft auto 4. it eminates awesome directly through your television set. although theres too much sex for my taste.

The game is meant for mature players. So I see no problem. Don't really care for the sex stuff in it, but it isn't a big deal. If you want to complain then let's get into how God of War shows bare breasts.

That's a good point. But the ammount of sexual content of God of War is probably around 5% of the game. And btw, I actually did complain about that, but there wasn't a major focus on it.

Also (you can ask Kajak), I argued that the sex scene and sexual content in 300 was completely tasteless and out of place. The only time it had any relivance is when Xerxies used women to try and get that retard spartan to turn trator. OMG naked dance before the oracle can speak... SHE HAS TO DANCE NAKED FIRST, no question. No naked dance, no speaking.

Honestly, I guess it just boils down to the fact that sex is used as a marketting device so much that even products that would have been fine without it have it crammed in at ever nook and cranny. And while there's nothing I can do about it, I can at least call out how tasteless it is. Again, if I want porn... I can get it elsewhere. Don't ruin my games with it that drabble.

I agree that there may be a little too much sexual content, but that has always been the GTA style. I want my GTA games to be of low-life and sleezy quality, thats just the style that I have grown to expect from the franchise.

I mean its got like, Mafia style stuff, drug stuff, run over the hooker stuff....its all there because we expect it to be. At least, thats my opinion, and the first GTA game I played was GTA3, so this is right up my ally.

That was almost a good point if it wasn't for the fact that sexual content like that wasn't even in the franchise till it was being made on the PS2.

It' just a marketting tool just like the gimmicky nature of the wii mote. But just like the wii mote... people are eating it up. C'est la vie. Enjoy...

Oops, I meant that the sexual nature has come to be expected, at least from my point of view, ever since the GTA3 game came out for the PS2. "God that game was an awesome experience."

But yeah, they are pouring WAY too much sexual content in our games, even for these kind of games. I understand that these games are mean't for more of the adult tastes, but it doesn't need to be so pornographic.

I just love GTA because its so easy to pick up and play, and its also very relaxing to cruise down a highway in a stolen car.(Especially with the new euphoria engine this game was built with.

You don't have to pick up hookers or go to strip clubs, ya know. Yes the sexual activity is a bit much, but you act as if that is a major part of the game. It isn't. And I doubt anyone is buying the game for the sexual stuff.

So, how long until we get child porn in GTA?

I mean, prostitution is illegal, and we get plenty of that in it.

If you don't like sexual content in your games, stop playing, nubbycakes!

I'm not denying that sex sells (apparently from what you said, this isn't even Rockstar trying to use the sex to sell but an independent video) but so does violence. Are you going to avoid the game for that.

Are you really that appalled that you would avoid all this other great gameplay that you talk about?

Like someone said above, the games are now 'sleazy'. That is what this series is presently about. The sex not sex per se but the way it is incorporated in this game) is consistent with that experience.

But the last few GTAs even if less directly graphic have been just as sleazy.

It shouldn't matter if there's sex in a game or not. As long as you have FUN playing it, that's all that matters. I highly doubt someone is going to buy the game just for the sexual content. Sex may sell, but it can't carry a game on it's own.
