Looking up the same time as William, he saw the un-named warrior as well. And reguardless of his intentions later, it would get them out of there currently, seemingly hopeless, situation.

Seeing the only other elf's skepticism, he give him a reassuring nod and headed towards the way indecated by the new-comer. Kayn motioned to William to help lift Ende's body, seeing at Kayn's current condition wouldn't allow for him to be carried by Kayn alone.

It seems that this brave saint, willing to help people whom he has never met, better be proficiant at combat to give a party with one unconcious member and another bleeding heavily, time to escape.

Lausen calmly walks past the men trying to lift Ende’s motionless body and says “Don’t worry, you can trust me for now. I simply stand to gain by helping you.â€

The shockwave slams into the first wave of Makras, cutting through many of them before disipating. Another wave scramble over their fallen brethren as if their deaths were nothing, shoving deeper into the enclosed trail area.

Several small boulders line the crest of the path into the mountains.

The flowers are beautiful this time of year. Oh how they thrive around the palace. Mother loves tending to them everyday as she waits for father. Lord Odin seems to keep him on a short leash. He is never around me and momma, anymore. We used to have picnics on days like these. Sigh... Perhaps, Master Thor will visit us today. I enjoy training with him when he has the time. I wish I could be near as strong as him or my father one of these days. I have a long ways to go...

“Oh, well that’s probably not good. At least I know the attack works.â€

Wargolth, without any consideration of the danger around him, sat down with his weapon by his side.

"Meh, you guys seem to be doing ok. If ya need me, just yell."

Even though Wargolth seemed lazy, he would prefer being the last line of defense just in case the battle didn't go so well.

Boulders on the right side of the trail a shifted lose an careen down from Lausen's assault. Many Makras are crushed beneath them, and the trail is half blocked. But the Makras still skitter over their fallen comrades and the rocks, surging forward.

There are still boulders lining the left side of the trail.

Kayn bleeds for 1 damage.

Some help might be needed to bind his wounds.

Why is father taking so long to return? It has been 3 weeks. By now he should have returned to report to Lord Odin. Yet I haven't seen him heading to the palace. Here comes Master Thor! Why does he have such a pale look on his face? Please don't tell me that...

Kayn flashes an eye at William in a subtle attempt to get him to assist the new comer with the boulders.

Kayn tries to get himslef and his unconcious companion as far away as possible. Unable to muster much more strength, he limps down behind a large oak tree with his burden of a party member, hopefully out of site from the sea-creatures.

To himeself: "It's up to you now. Never before has my life been in another's hands. Have I become this weak? have I come only so far to fail?"

“Hah! It seems I underestimated these things a little. They just keep coming at me.â€

At Lausen's slash the boulder jolts loose careening downwards and knocking other boulders with it. Several thick carapaces can be seen poking out from the rubble. Clattering and skittering can be heard down below, but it appears as though the path is block for the Makras for now.

Lifth appears next to Kayn and Ende. She place a hand flat on Ende's chest and it pulses, jolting Ende with energy and drawing him back to consciousness. "It is not yet time to face the demons of your past Aesir."

Lifth looks over to Kayn. "Someone must help me bind his wounds now, or I fear we will be burying a comrade this day."

This night's events had been all too confusing and frightening at once for the forest elf. First the fight he had just gone through, and now this. William had a hard time trying to figure out why this stranger alone who had shown up to help them struck an imposing enough presence to keep an entire group of lagoonish monsters and their insane master at bay for the heroes, even if his skills in swordsmanship seemed far superior to that of anyone else present (almost like magic, the elf had thought in wonder), and he was having an even harder time trying to figure out Lifth. That human girl became more and more mysterious by the minute to him. What had she done to Ende, anyway?

With the path seemingly cut off from the monsters for the moment, William felt his grip on the Northern Longblade finally begin to loosen. He followed Lifth's solemn gaze to Kayn. "She's right," the elf spoke. "We must get those wounds bound up as soon as possible. It's a wonder he is still alive even now."

Wargolth, bored of sitting down and watching the events before him unfold without him, goes to aid Lausen in his defensive strategy just in case the blockade didn't hold up.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Ugh... where am I? Why is it so damned cold? That's right... I'm stuck here at this doomed domain. Were we not in the middle of battle? Where is the enemy?"

Ende shrugs his head still recovering from his previous episode. Appearantly, the party is far from the dark waters where the hell spawn attacked.

Under his breath Ende mumbles: "How odd that these peasants brought me along with them. Once again they have come to my aid. Aren't those who have become a burden left to die? Odd creatures they be."

Lausen is still standing behind the wall of boulders waiting just in case the sea monsters make it over the top. He looks to his side to see a man looking to aid him. “You don’t seem to be hurt. It looks like we won’t have to worry about them for a while.â€

Lifth's hand tremble as she wraps Kayn's side tightly. The bandages glow for a brief moment and a wash of light spills over Kayn's body.

"That was to close. How fairs blocking the trail?"

Lifth is obviously shaken. It looks as though she can't decide whether to flee or collapse.

Lausen looks at the girl and gives a reassuring nod. “The path is safe for now, but it won’t hold forever.â€

As William knelt beside Lifth to hold Kayn in place while she performed the delicate and likely a bit painful task of bandaging up the dark elf, he couldn't help but finding himself staring at the human girl in curiosity almost the entire time. Her skills in healing were extraordinarily strong, ... far beyond the forest elf's neophyte talent for it. It was almost as though she were a divine being, rather than human at all.

"Who are you all, anyway, thinking you could go up against brutal killers like them?" The stranger, who had finally introduced himself as Lausen, asked, glancing upon each of them in turn with a judicious eye.

After giving Kayn a final glance to make certain he appeared at least well enough to keep death at bay, William boldly looked Lausen in the face with his bright green eyes, thinking he might appear the bravest by answering the question first. "I am William, an elf from the forests in the North who studies white magic," he said. "And ...." He then turn his face once to each side, nodding in indication of the others around him. "... These people are my traveling companions."

Ever since laying himself up aginst that acceptionally large tree, Kayn was having a hard time being able to focus on anything. Wavering between conciousness and none. It seems he remembered seeing Lifth for a moment, and with a expression on her face that doesn't suit her... or at least, not one that Kayn expected her to wear. So use Kayn was to her apathy, that seeing anything similar to concern threw Kayn off.

After a few moments of her working her medicinal magic did his body start to regester the pain that was associated with his wound. It started off as a very pressured throb... but soon shot straight up and down his spine in a torrent of pain. But Kayn bit his tounge. Dispite his own apathetic stance towards everything, he didn't want to show weakness to the others. Looking up, he noticed the other elf... only for him to turn around and address the one who saved them all.

"I am William, an elf from the forests in the North who studies white magic," he said. "And .... These people are my traveling companions."

Kayn, unsure of weither it be best to tell Lausen exactly why we were here grit his teeth in an effort to stand up. Though still in alot of pain, Lifth's magic had worked wonders.

"We.... can't stay here." Kayn muttered. "We need to get far away from this... place before we can speak." Not only was it true, but it would also give Kayn and the others time to find out how trustworthy this 'Lausen' is.

This woman is clearly no more human than I am. I have seen these type of powers before, which are surely not from those of this world. I'm not sure what her plans are, but I don't trust her. If she or this other stranger try to pull anything I will run them through without hesitation.

*glares at Lifth and the strange Lausen.*
