Anyone hear of this game?





If you've been keeping track of some of my posts, you would know I'm having a blast with this game. And I enjoy it so much because it's so different than anything else I've played. Joesette is a robot, made by Gepetto. But before he's able to teach her how to be human, he dies! So he sends her off to Blueland, and you are tasked with looking after her. There's a review that explains things far better than I.

Joesette is the funnest character to inetract with. She laughs and cries, jumps up in glee, sticks her finger out to make her point, poke the ground in depression. There seems to be no end to what she does. I can't wait to keep playing.

Heard of it. Was keeping an eye out for it when Nintendo Power talked about it. Too bad it never left Japan.

I just really looked into it. Seems that there was an original. I kind of thought J2 was the name... not J, the sequel.

The original was for the SNES... though it aslo wasn't release in the US. The only way is through a translated patched rom.

It's gameplay is alot similar to Torin's Passage, if you remember that game for PC. Cept... it seems you have to litterally 'teach' the protagonist how to do everything.

Is J2 simiar?

Yup, that sounds like how J2 plays.

Josette is a robot who doesn't know much of the world, so with you guiding her, she learns how to live like a human. Not easy when she kicks books around instead of reading them

That gameplay is very similar to Torin's Passage. It's an old game that came out for PC way back when. The only major difference is that Torin never did anything wrong with the items he interacted with unless you told him to... which sometimes lead do death. So in a sense, it is kind of a trial and error thing just lik J/J2... cept if you mess up, you don't get scolded. You die. ^_^

I was eyeing that game for a long time. It looked very peculiar and I had just begun my japanimation crush.
